I've just returned to CB, and I feel so lost because I don't seem to know anybody anymore! However, I don't want to post a cliche survey because (a) it probably has already been posted and (b) I never care about the questions in those surveys. So here's a list of probing questions that would give me and the rest of the community a better idea of who each of you are, not what your favorite band is or if you've ever smoked pot or gone skinny-dipping. Probably my dad, but there are others whom I admire and look up to.

Belief in myself, family, and God. I haven't really done anything too great, but I wouldn't be at this stage in life without it.

My family. They mean the world to me; I can't imaging my life without my family. Specifically, my maternal grandmother. I've lived with her for only 5/6 years of my life, but she never sits down. She's never hesitant to help anyone or shower her love.

To help others. It's been a goal of mine since I was little.

I've done many hours of general community service, especially at Red Cross and my school. I try to make people smile by doing the simplest things.

Not really. I try to act like my true self but there are numerous times where I can't control my nervousness.

I'd like to change a few things that have happened/I've not done in my past. One thing in particular is eat a lot when I just started puberty.

Meaningful, but not yet complete.

Helping children in need of love and care. Other people and their culture. How the universe/life forms were created. Pshychology. The eye and how we see. Beauty of nature.

Roam around the world (with certain people). Become a doctor and help others who have medical/emotional needs. Children are a priority.

Personally, I think everyone has had their equal share of influence in my life. A certain cousin of mine taught me that we've all got to have our reasons to be living on earth somehow. A certain friend of mine taught me that there is nothing to be afraid of. So I can never pinpoint a certain someone that has influenced my life.

What in your life do you value the most and why?
I value a lot of things. But I don't know. I think the most important thing to value is love. To be loved & to love is a special gift; People just so happen to throw that gift around somehow. I value it because I think it's important. I think the whole basis of my life is to love.

Whom in your life do you value the most and why?
It wouldn't be fair to leave out the people who have been there with me since the beginning. I value anyone who has been there for me. I value the people who listen to me and what I have to say. Those people are worth something. I value them for putting up with me because I know it's a hard thing because sometimes, I can't put up with myself.

What, do you believe, is your purpose on earth?
Hmm, I don't know yet. I think I'm on my way to finding that out. Personally, I think I'm here to help people find out why they're here too. I think we're all in it for the same deal. I think we're here to learn something valuable. What is it? I don't know yet... but I'm sure someday, it'll hit me hard.

What, so far, have your contributed to the world?
I've always thought that I'm such a little person in a big world and that I can never do anything to help the world or some sort. But there are times... when for example, I donate money for funds and reliefs. I think that's what I've contributed. Though it maybe small, at least it's something.

Do you portray yourself to others in a way that is contrary to who you really are?
How can I be who I am if I have no idea who I am?

Nothing really. What I am is who I am... what I did is what I've done.

This might sound a little weird but... I love being in my bed. It's just where I think and where I dream. I feel safe in my bed. Whenever I'm scared, I feel like I'm safe under my blanket. I've always felt that way in any bed I've been in. It's like a barricade for things... and it's like your free ride to somewhere. It's a wonderful feeling.

Emotion & the different mediums they're conveyed in/through/on.

If money were not an issue, what would you do with your life?
I'd probably travel the world and bring a couple of people with me. I guess I'd live as happily as I can... I mean, even if money were an issue, I'd still try living as happily as I can. So... yeah.

What/Who has (or has had) the greatest influence on your life right now and why?
What: Piano, and photography. I've known how to play the piano for as long as I can remember; It calms me down when I'm feeling restless at home. Photography is what has motivated me to do other things, get off my feet and get things accomplished with my life. It reminds me of the beauty there is in the world and urges me to see more so I can make better photographs.

Who: My friend Queenie. She's one of the most accomplished people I've ever met. She has been a huge part of making me a more positive person and I see things in much simpler light when I'm with her. She genuinely cares about people and it makes me want to do the same. She makes me realize also how lucky I am to have people like her in my life, which makes me appreciate my other friends more.

What in your life do you value the most and why?
Meaningful relationships. Because without them, we are nothing.

Whom in your life do you value the most and why?
My family, my best friends.

What, do you believe, is your purpose on earth?
From a religious standpoint, to glorify God. It's going to take me a while to really figure out how to do that, but other than that.. I can't think of another purpose to be on earth other than just to make the most of your life and do good for the world you live in.

Anything I've done thus far is petty. I've done things like volunteer, give to those in need.. sure It's important to those I directly helped but nothing really worth mentioning.

Sort of. I'm lazy, but people see me as easy-going. I'm not as sure of myself as I appear to be sometimes.

Acts as a constant reminder that we are all but human and in our hearts, we really are the same. Sure, the things that happen to us may change who we are, but deep down.. no matter how deep, our hearts are pure. That may seem drenched in naivety, but that's what I believe and it does make life easier.

When I'm by myself, I love being in the darkroom. Total solitude and focus with something I truly enjoy.

adrian, because he has been the greatest friend and more to me that i've ever known and with him, i feel truly happy and i'm myself. he's an amazing individual who's taught me so very much.
