White history month?, racism Options

im not blaming anyone, personally, i dont care.
im just observing and.... nothing changed. that european history lesson you gave doesnt strike me as a good reason why the face of the being the majority of america worships is still depicted as white, all the way to today. all im saying is, if everything is all perfectly equal and cheery now, why is this still so? why hasnt this been "politically corrected"? i mean, it shouldnt be difficult, considering biblically and scientifically this can easily be proven otherwise. christianity has one being, one being that its religion basically revolves around, one being that is worshipped by the majority of people in our country, of all races, of all colors. and to depict the being that is worshipped to be one race, in this case caucasion, is a little iffy to me. it can give one the belief that they are above, thus can cause a thing like slavery, or holocaust, because of an misinterpetation. this all has more meaning behind it than one may think.

but! like i said, personally i dont care about this what so ever.

in america they are^. when the very religion that this country is based on (christianity) and the main person we worsip (jesus) is depicted as caucasion, without any evidence that he is, thats when you can get a little picture of whos dominant.

this is just a small example of how in america, caucasions are more powerful than any other race. that doesnt mean better or anyone is lesser. it just means more power. just like chinese have more power than anyone in china for example.

The authorities of America see fit that minorities have special 'memorial' days for them.  Every day, minorities face prejudicism, racism, all the isisim-ness you can think of.  And because this is not happening in front of your house, you don't see the big picture.  things like this might not happen around your life, or it may happen mildly, it  may even happen a lot, but if you have the time to travel around the states, you sure will find a lot of concentrated hate around different parts.

And the government 'knows' this.  it can't stop every citizen from doing another minority citizen wrong.  but it can try its best.  so they propose these 'memorial' days and months to show that there are people out there who care.

i mean 400 years of slavery.  that un-f--king real.  ok if you cant imagine that, than imagine not being able to play xbox for a month.  now thats friggen mean.  i would like a my own memorial month for that.  wtf.  (im sorry my xbox broke and im sad).

so the next time you see the latino guy mowing your lawn during the summer, bring him a nice cold glass of lemonade.  cause you should be appreciative that they would do such a job.  and plus its funny as hell to see their face when you know theyre thinking 'wtf is this about, what is this? charity?'.  ah man, its priceless.  you should try it.

I thought the general scientific consensus was that when people formed on the Earth, they were all light skinned. The Earth wasn't very warm and sunlight wasn't prevalent in all areas, so as the humans spread over the Earth, they all got into sunnier areas. Areas such as Africa came out with darker skinned people because they adapted to the large, blaring sun there. If they had light skin, they would always be burning. People in the Middle East/Egypt have darker skin than white people or Asian people, but lighter skin than Africans because of the sun intake. So, judging on when Jesus supposedly existed and roamed, he could have been white. Of course, this is just my logical thinking. It may or may not be true, but I'm pretty sure it hasn't been scientifically proven that he wasn't white.

Why are you guys only talking about America, by the way? Maybe you should like, broaden your horizons sometime and see that we are not the only white majority country.

just because slavery was wrong doens't mean more wrongs must be done. and racism is a wrong. and recognizing one race is racism.

do you know why they're doing that job? for the money. you can be all nice and give lemonade, but if you don't give money is he going to mow the lawn? no. Yea, my family did that once. We had some mexicans working on our bathroom, and we gave them food. you know what? they took the money, did a shotty job (one that had to be redone), as well as using old stuff and charing for new stuff. with all the food. Luckly, we had gone through home depot to hire them, so home depot sent white contractors, who discovered what a crappy job they did.

sure, some are hard workers and all. but it's still about the money.

yea, black people were slaves. therefore we should take out some time to honor them. nevermind that black people are no longer slaves, and slaves are not exclusivley black people.


have a slave recognition month where all forms of slavery are acknowledged to exist. yes, that means roman slavery, white slavery, indentured servitude (white indentured servantes were often treated worse than slaves), as well as modern slavery.


having it as a black history month is saying "look, all these other people were enslaved, but the blacks are the only ones who are inferior and thus need a history month"

Oh my gosh, you are soooo right, because the black kid down the street deserves so much more than me because I am white. His great-grandmother was probably a slave or something, oh geez. The Aztecs and the Mayans never had any issues at all! The Middle East has never had ANY problems between races, during the Middle Ages and stuff, before the Crusades and all! Man we should really just blame everything on white Americans cause they started everything by adopting the African ways of selling their tribespeople as slaves.

I would like to put into perspective once more, of who did the beatings and killing. White folks? Sure, but to be more exact, mostly White folks in the South. To be even more exact, those White folks are not Sammi or the White kids who go to my YMCA. However, they are all affected negatively because of something you claim "Whites", implied in a general sense, that beat and killed Black slaves.

Why does it matter? It's not like we accually celebrate black history month. I always thought of Black history month as the month we learned the history of black people in school. Thats it. Us white people do have history throughout the months (lol). All those presidents, and many people who were white.
White people have the same privledges as black people and the other way around.
