Password, how do u password protect a site...

thers a bunch of password help stuff but mines a lil more detailed so if u can help thanks !!!

how can u password protect a regular website... theres no web help so i decided to post in here if theres somewhere better move it plz..if not then here... ive tried password protecting my website and when i get scripts the only thing thats possible is for me to make one webpage for the popup itself then u have to click the link to get the javascript pop-up for it. is there a way for me to have the pop-up come up when someone enters the homepage? _unsure.gif thanks happy.gif

Do you have a domain or a subdomain? If you have a domain, there should be a way to do this in your host's possibly provided control panel.

you'd have to upgrade to a host site and play like 10$ a year.....for those privillages most free webhosts don't offer that feature...

if theres a will theres a way payin for a host is just them giving the stuff to u but in order to even have somethin glike that they have to have the codes and stuff in the first place. in order to do that...they have the html...which means if i can find em i can do the same thing
