These are just ones I noticed the first time I watched the movie...

1) right off the bat in the first scene Crouch is in the room with voldemort and Pettigrew when he isnt in the book.
2) When Harry writes to Sirius Black he is supposed to use the Pen name Snuffles.
3) In the scene where Harry gets the egg the turrain is supposed to be flat.
4) When Harry uses the Gilly Weed they are supposed to be going from the edge of the lake, not some suspended platform.
5) Dumbledore gets angry at Harry!(thats just horrible)
6)They also forgot to add the part where Rita gets caught as a beetle and is put away in a jar by Hermoine. - Jooleah

Ill stop there but if anyone else posts some Ill add them to this list.

Good night,
Frank

It scared me a lot when Dumbledore charged at Harry and asked him if he put his name in the fire.

Yeah.
This new Dumbledore is definitely not as good as the old one. Dumbledore is supposed to be calm and wise. He's not supposed to get all angry and frustrated...at least, not in front of students and etc.

They also forgot to add the part where Rita gets caught as a beetle and is put away in a jar by Hermoine. You really can't expect everything to be in the movie though.

I agree that was horrible, Dumbledore Isnt supposed to get mad at Harry throughout all of the books.

Harry always thinks Dumbledore will get angry at him, but he never does.

There are so many mistakes, but some may be just because of the time constraints... Adding on:
- This may seem unnecessary, but when Crouch/Moody is with Harry in his "office", Harry sees the whites of the eyes of Dumbledore and co, so that's when he knows help is coming...
- Fudge and the dementor!
- They didn't mention how Crouch Jr. got out of Azkaban
- Harry winning the gold and giving it to the Weasley for their shop (they didn't mention anything about that!)
- SPEW and the house elves, but that just may be because they didn't have enough time to put everything
- In the maze, there are supposed to be creatures and Harry has to pass a Sphinx to get to the cup
- When "Moody" turns Draco into the ferret, it's because Draco had attacked Harry first
- Fleur is supposed to be more veela-like
- One of my annoyances, I didn't like how they made the fireplace talk between Sirius and Harry. I thought we'd actually see a floating head.
- Pavarati and Padma aren't both in Gryffindor. One of them is in Ravenclaw
- In the Pensieve scene, Dumbledore was supposed to bring Harry back to reality (I'm not sure if this happened though)
- Dumbledore doesn't really explain anything well at the end...

Bleh, but I'm sure most of it was due to time constraints (even though I would have liked a longer movie, others might not).

Didn't Dobby give Harry the gillyweed for the second task? Not Neville? Or am I just confused? My Harry Potter books are in the basement and I don't feel like looking for the answer now.

Goshh, there are a lot of mistakes..yeah, I was not too pleased with Dumbledore's reaction to Harry's name flying out of the cup. stubborn.gif

well what do you expect a novel that long squished into 2 and a half hours of showtime...

dumbledore seemed gay at times...

Most of the changes are because of the producer/director and making the movie so that anyone can basically jump in at the GOF and have some sort of understanding to it.

They basically dumbed down the movie, that's why alot of key parts from the book were removed, and certain stuff was added/changed around.

That's how movies based off of books always end up.
Except you'd think they'd do a better job of not chopping up the first 45 minutes of the movie....

The movie was ABSOLUTELY different from the book, I mnean they kept the actual essense but so many details are missing and what not, not to mention they replace what certain people did and added lines that also weren't in the book. I tottaly agree dumbledore shouldn't get angry, he's supposed to be calm through everything, it's what makes him all zen and stuff. but yeah the movie was non the less really good in my opinion

I am a die hard book fan, but I do have this to say:
There are no mistakes in the movie!
Why do I say this? Because at the end of every movie, the words "Based on the book Harry potter 'insert title' by J.K. Rowling."
Based on, not a direct copy. Oh... I did notice a mistake... Dumbledore kept forgetting to keep his glasses on!!! thats it though.
