You should also incorporate some cardio exercises. The one thing about getting a flat stomache is not about stregthening it, but reducing the fat layer that covers your abs.

So do about 20 minutes of running, three times a week!

this baffles me. sooo many people think that if you do ab workouts, you magically get a six pack. WRONG. most people have 6 packs, it's just that they're body fat % is too high so that they abs don't show. cardio is vital in order to shed the fat and make your abs visible, but so is working out. and the best way to work out is high weights, low reps. yes, that goes for girls as well. girls won't get HUGE now matter how much they work out. they don't have the testosterone that drives males.

this article can be summarized like this:
1) eat right
2) work out
3) do some sort of cardio on the days you don't life weights (run, bike, sports, etc)
4) get a work out partner! they help you stay motivated

^ I'm having a blast with my trainer. He's awesome, and I've been working out harder than ever before. Spot training is "out", doing cardio and total body workouts are "in". You don't need to spend $$$ for a trainer when you can do cardio and strength training on your own. I only got one because I need motivation, support, and nutrition help.

personally, i think abs are one of the hardest muscle group to work out... just gotta do a lot of reps and you'll see results, just dont expect it in a week or two

burned off 2500 calories just from playing ITG. i think ddr is a great alternative to running and other cardio exercises. combining that with a healthy diet, i've heard tales of people losing as much as 95 lbs...and im sure stomach-flattening was involved.

the best way to get a flat stomach is work out daily.
at least 40 sit-ups a day and run
also eat more fiber and no junk food.

I always had to cut weight for wrestling and my stomach is pretty flat.

I always thought the best way for a flat stomach was to eat every 3 hours _unsure.gif and not touch a single piece of food til those 3 hours pass.

I think eating 5 small meals a day is good.. and it depends what food you eat.. if your eating junk food, of course it aint going to work and good body takes work out too not just eating right.
