why doesn't tagalog music hit the boards? why is it always japanese, chinese, korean, taiwanese music? it's SO annoying...!
 Philippine music is great! I LOVE South Border so much!

I think it's totally unreasonable to say that other Jap/Korean/Chinese music is "annoying". I don't think you'd like it too much if I said that Tagalog music was "annoying". Like robb0 said, it hasn't crossed overseas yet. |

Maybe because it's not that popular here? Asian music isn't as popular as America's music in America. Maybe it's because people who live in a certain place like that type of music? Black Eyed Peas made a few... Like Bebot. |

The Black Eyed Peas incorporated some Tagalog into their music. Robb0`s right, the music isn`t as popular here as it is in the Philippines.

Hey aside from that Thai music is actually popular to some people in the states, er, Tata Young I believe is popular since she also has English songs out...

um, because its still in the phillipines?
its the same with asian people. some of my friends sometimes say "why the heck is there no asian celebrities!?!?!?" ell, most of them are in asia. anyways, back to the topic. i think filipina music is interesting. my friend is flip, and when i go to her house her parents are always watching the "tfc"... haha =P |

I find filipino music interesting and yeah it's probably because it's in the phiilippines but some U.S. hits are pretty popular there. lmao I always watch TFC when I go to my cousins house I love those soaps and when people just sing.

 Go listen to some underground alterna Filipino bands back in Philippines, and you will really appreaciate Filipino music. The Black Eyed Peas Tagalog songs suck!

the reason why you dont hear alot of filipino music is because most of them just sucks.......most of the singers got no realistic taste in music and are sometimes over-the-edge superficial . that only goes for in the pop routine ....but now folk rock singers are different ..most of there are good and ok in my opinion ...

i'm half filipino and i should like filipino music but i love j-pop more.. dunno why but i think tagalog music isn't that popular unless you like love songs that are slow. somtimes i noticed that they bearly make any "t-rock" lol but every single tagalog song i listen to its all slow. just maybe ppl are into pop/rock these days.
