when you get in trouble, do u use peer pressure as an excuse? liKe when you get in trouble do you say..."well they made me do it". i think that ppl use peer pressure as an excuse. like when kids do certain thiNgs that are wronG, like dRugs for instance they say things like well they pressured me into doiNg it. to me i think that noboday can make you do anything you dont want to, i kno that ppl feel pressured to do sumthing, but using peer pressure as an excuse is just crAzy.

no, i dont use it as an excuse. its probably one of the lamest excuses there are because they didnt "make" you do it. in most cases, they arent holding a gun to your head saying do this, so blaming it on peer pressure is lame.

I won't use peer pressure as an excuse but I do use it as a reason sometimes to do something. I try not to though, it's hard not to. I'm not a leader, see.

I don't think I've ever gotten in trouble before. But, I don't think that I will use that excuse because it's really unbelievable. Everyone has their own free will and choice to do whatever they want, and they were the ones that chose to do whatever it was that got them in trouble. No one is forcing you to do it.

Definitely. For example, one time when my friends all ditched this girl [I know, it is INCREDIBLY mean, evil, cruel, etc.] and then when the teacher asked why I followed through, I responded with peer pressure.
Ironically enough, that same girl who was ditched years before is now my best friend. ![]() |

I never use peer pressure as an excuse.
It only proves to others that you are too desperate for friends. |

no. i think that's seriously worse than "the dog ate my homework" excue...although that example doesnt have much to do with this. but what i'm trying to say is, that no matter how bad "the dog ate my homework" excuse is, the "peer pressure made me do it" excuse is worse.

QUOTE(mzbbc @ Nov 28 2005, 10:41 PM) i've never used it as an excuse... but only because it wouldn't work. ![]() like if i said, "but EVERYONE does it," ![]() ![]() ha, my parents have their own definition of everyone and want me to be exactly like that. they say that every girl never ever stays out past 7pm and that it's ridiculous that i do. and that all asian students, especially girls have straight A's in school and i'm a disgrace etc etc. my parents don't even understand peer pressure...and i'd rather own up to my own mistakes and learn from them than cover them up. i don't really cover up too much anymore. |
