Well I have a dark background and I want to have dark text in the entries and the background of the entry to have like... a 30% opaque white backround, so the blog background will still show but it will be lighter so you can see the text. Can't find the answer anywhere... anyone able to help? Thanks

Put this into your Look and Feel page -> Header -> Input your own Header HTML:
CODE
<STYLE type="text/css"> table.blogbody, {filter: alpha(style=0,opacity=30);}</STYLE>

Then replace the opacity in the code above.

not sure I understand that.. I like the opacity for the white backround in the entry, but I don't like the text opacity going down.. black text on kind of a gauzy white.

The bolded area is where you'd like to change.

nooo then that would change the white backround of the post... the code changes both the backround and the text, what i'm wondering is if i can make it so it doesn't change the text? so it'll still be 100% black

Oh now I get what you're saying. Forget what I said.
