Do you prefer a date where you go to the mall and movies or something similar, or a date where you guys hang around out and maybe just take a walk?

I'm not a big fan of movie dates or anything - you can't really talk to the person, you're too focused on the movie. You don't really get to know them as well as you could on another date, like a long walk or something sweet like that.
Wow, those felt like really long sentences. |

personally, i think that when you just go to the mall, that's not a real date...that's just going to buy something.
a date is something that should just be you and your date, unless it's a group date but then again that's not really a date. you should probably go see a movie and then take a walk around...but i'd prefer to just hang out, i like the alone thing. |

Yeah, I would rather prefer just hanging out with him, walking around and talking.

Hmmmmmm. Personally, I don't like the artificiality of a 'date' much.
It depends on how well you know a person. With my boyfriend, an ideal date is just staying in and I cook him a delicious meal :) |

Walking and Talking. Or anything else that might happen. Lol Jk.
I would prefer that so i could actually get to know him as a person. Not as just my boyfriend who i go to the movies with. |

Dinner, movie, walk in the park?
Or go to a beach and stare at the sunset or something. That'd be nice. Kind of depends though. I wouldn't like to do it with someone boring and uptight with nothing to talk about. Maybe with someone funny and something to talk about. |

I'd rather go for the kind where you just hang out. If you're too focused in the movie, then that's not really a date is it?

I think that just hanging out is a lot easier...theres not so much pressure on the date if you're nervous, and plus movie dates are not really that great if you want to talk and you're just getting to know each other. I wouldn't go to the movies with a guy until I was comfortable enough with him to do that.

Like, do you care if it's a date where he would spend money on you, or is his company enough :P

Hmmm when I'm with my girlfriend we don't need to spend much money, our company together is enough. We spend when we absolutely NEED to, and I think it's dissapointing that a relationship has to have money involved.
We watch a movie when we need to, though we don't focus on the movie that much (If you get my drift...), everywhere we go we're in a spotlight, on stage. Everyone else is in the dark. (Except our closest friends of course.) Money issues are a teenage thing ; however girls are different. I test a girl to see if she can appreciate me for who I am rather than my wallet or the car I drive, looks, etc. etc. True love doesn't mean true spending. Some girls will appreciate you for you, while most will expect too much out of you. Those girls need to grow up. The greatest things that are spent in our dates / relationship is time, patience and love. LHHRS Kevyn @-)-------- |

i would just rather be hanging out in their room or something. it's more relaxed and more intimate, you know? actual dates can be fun when you're going as a couple, but before that it's nice just to hang out.

I think the perfect date would be sitting on the couch at one of your house's and watching a movie, cuddling and such. Nothing extravagant. Curl up with a blanket and some mac 'n cheese.

QUOTE(disco infiltrator @ Nov 26 2005, 11:47 PM) I think the perfect date would be sitting on the couch at one of your house's and watching a movie, cuddling and such. Nothing extravagant. Curl up with a blanket and some mac 'n cheese. My girlfriends' words right there...kudos to you...that is my perfect date... ...though I don't know about Mac N' Cheese..my cooking is so horrible...especially for a mixed Japanese guy..O_O! I always ahve to tell her "I'm too lazy to cook Mac N' Cheese" or, "I'm an athlete not a damn chef!" *sigh* if only I could cook...O_O! I think the key word in that phrase was "Nothing extravagant..." if your partner can appreciate nothing extravagant, you have truly found someone special. Nothing extravagant are exactly how my dates are...well most of them at least. ^_____^. LHHRS Kevyn @-)------- |
