depends on how bad the something that occured was.

i really wouldnt label it as "karma" because bad things are destined to happen. you cant just blame it on something because bad things happen to everyone. there are some strange circumstances that may look like it was a direct result for what they did, but i dont think its pay back...it just, um, happened.

the term karma is used to justify the consequences of ones actions. If your definition of karma is basic cause and effect, of course i agree with it. What i don't believe in is that karma balances the flow of life. I mean, who measures our actions? God?

Karma, to me, is simply a poetic expression of cause and effect; a more romantic echoing of, "You reap what you sow." Spiritual undertones fall apart with a denial of a literal interpretation. Cut out the fantasy and you have a philosophical lesson. Shortsighted or not, it's still more practical than adopting a literal reading of the spirtual side of Karma.

So, in the end, no. I don't believe in "Karma."

i'm not really sure... of course it works like, if you backstab someone, only think of yourself, etc. you will eventually be backstabbed as well.
but in other situations i dunno huh.gif

I believe in it. Even if it does come back to you, it will always be in a different form. It might not happen yet but it will during some point in our lives.

I believe in karma. One because it's part of my religion, and two because it comes to bite me in the ass a lot. End of story.

Um okay?
All because it's a Hindu belief [and I quote that it can be part of Muslim] doesn't meant that you can't believe in it. Wow, someone's thinking too narrowly now, aren't they?
Go research your religion before you say anything.

i believe in consequences. i believe that as hard as it is to do the right thing when the wrong thing looks so good, something good is coming your away. i believe that if you do something you know is wrong, and you get away with it, something bad is going to come along the way to even you out.

Karma is not just a central idea in Hinduism but in many other eastern and pagan religions. Jainism, Sikhism, and Buddhism also adopt Karma as an important part of their central theology and philosophy. Many neopagan religions, such as Wicca, have a more extreme form of Karma with the Law of the Threefold Return, which seems self-explanatory. The idea is even echoed in christianity.

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a
man soweth, that shall he also reap."
(Galatians 6:7 KJV)

So, which one are you "into?"
