NO AMOUNT OF REASON

Whispers exchanged as our breaths took us whole
It was a wish bigger than two souls could handle
I was taken in, taken in so deep
And passion drove us until the very end
Time got in the way and now left me cold
There is no amount of reason to save me

Black and blue to a heart that used to feel everything
Tainted breaths now for a memory that curved my lips so long ago
Show me again the peace that is suppose to live
I've lost the will to see what the purpose of love is
All reason was lost to keep me here
And there is no amount of reason to save me

I can hear the words in a fainted distance
A chance for me to hold on to what used to be a dream
Forgivemess is at the tip of my tongue
And my broken heart lies in my hands for you to see
With counted tears that have been waiting so patiently
I can hear it but never will I feel it
There is no amount of reason to save me

Time ticks with such effortless ease
Everything else dies at the hands of mortality
Sadly, my soul followed that darkness
But my body was scarred with invisible wounds that you choose not to see
