Ok, I hope this is PG-13 but this isn't really nasty or supposed to be, but the question in the matter is:
Should condoms be distributed at school? Why or why not? (i.e.: to prevent pregnancies, STDs, etc.) What do you think? |

I think that would be cool, ya know? But then again it might send the wrong impression like... maybe it'll seem like they're encouraging us to have sex. But i actually would be for it... I think they should. It sure beats having to go to the liquor store to buy some, lol

Uhm, our school passes out condoms but not publicly. you have to goto the nurse and they'll give you some no questions asked.
i also agree with elba, that they might be encouraging sex when they do. we had a debate on this topic in sociology. |

It would be a good idea for the nurse only to hand them out....i mean look how many kids has kids in school...there are a lot at my that pregnant or have kid(s) already....and even if they are not given out at school...for those that are on medicare they are free...

Hmm.. I guess it would be okay for them to have them.. but like not in the open... where the students can go and ask ..maybe theyll talk em out of it.. i dunno cause it can start to cause problems.. especially with the parents

i dont think they should ditribute them out like that... they should just... give if someone asks for one... cause i mean, passing them out publicly give some people curiousity which leads them to want to try them and all.
but, contrary to that, some people need them and will not use them unless someone actually gives them one you know? its ebtter to ahve protection. |

i think yess..i understand why a lot of ppl say no because it would be "promoting teens to have sex" or whatever..but at least they are being safe about it..i mean think about it..sex and get pregnant or sex and be safe?? hMmMm..hard one...NOT..so yeah.. i think condoms should be distributed at school..of course not just like "heyy how are you herres a condom" but like..if they were in the nurses office where ppl could walk in and get a couple if they need them or something

of course they should distribute condoms!! people are so immature for thinking otherwise. they should in high school. I believe kids are ready for sex in high school. also, kids will have sex if they want to, regardless if they have a condom or not. SO PROTECTION is the way to be.

Considering that if you're caught younger than 18 having sexual intercourse, you will be taken to court and no matter WHO the guy is, he will most likely be charged for rapage, even if the girl acknowledged the fact that SHE was engaged in the sexual intercourse. The legal age for having intercourse is 18. I dont think immature is the case here, i think it's more like being conservative and being legal (even if most teens do it anyway) I think otherwise. Kids are not fully aware of the reason for sex except for enjoyment even in highschool. True, some may truly be in love and what not, but sex can sometimes twist a person's mind and cause them to sleep around more for the pleasure than being fully engaged in it for the right reasons. This leads to the whole hoe/jiggalo deal. Yes, protection is the way to be. i agree on that. but... "kids will ahve sex if they want to" But those kids dont realize that its not a matter of if they want to or not, its a matter of true commitment, love, and sincerity not a matter of "because i want to" thoughts. and you're wondering... how do i know this stupid bs? i have no clue... im not a debater as you can see...
