my school is thinking about not having junk food at lunch anymore, becasue it is not healthy for students. i think if junk food was takin away from schools that kids would not eat. i mean mostly all the food at my school is junk food. so if they take the junk food away kids would starve. wacko.gif thats would suck. i need junk food!! do you think that junk food should be takin out of schools??

Heh. I think it depends what they consider "junk food" because some of my teachers said that pizza was junkfood. WTF LIKE NO WAY. It's dinner for me. :D

the only junk food my school has is just the cakes, and desserts. we don't have candy. we can eat hamburgers, fries, and all that good stuff. I don't see why your school can't. x_x

The most healthiest thing at my school are the freakin jalapenos(sp?) that they put on the nachos when kids ask for them.

There have been rumors about "them" (whoever "they"are) were thinking about changing the menu into more health foods. Stupid shit like no soda.... no soda.... I can't live without soda...

Actually, I think junk food should be taken out.
Not ALL of it.
But most of it.
Give us more fruits!

I'm on both sides.

They're taking junk food away cuz it's not healthy and if that's ALL you eat, you'll get fat and then you'll be all lazy....ever heard of an athletic fat person? The gym teachers would LOVE that.

So they want you to be healthy.

But junk food's yummy. I think they should keep it, yet add like other yummy healthy things like...er...instead of chips howabout flavored crackers or something? and low fat chocolate and stuff.

If they take away the junk food, kids'll bring their own anyways.

Well, that'd be sucky. I hope they don't take away junk food from our deli carte [*protects pile of assorted chips, candy bars, etc.*]!

we're following the "healthy" trend too.

my school took away doritos and put in cup noodles.

only three times more fat.

I also agree that there should be a clear definition of what junk food is.

Well at least the school is trying to improve. =X

Yeah thats true, but it's not only about kids getting fat. Its also unhealthy. Even for a person who is a normal weight. I think its good thst schools are doing that. My school only does that on Wednesdays.

well i read in the school newspaper they passed around in lunch that in the beginning of january, all soda machines will be closed down and only opened after school.they also would be on timers to go on for students to buy sodas when they leave.kinda weird.but also about the junk food, heh not our fault that kids keep eating all the foods that make you gain weight.its about keeping our kids healthy ;x

Well you have to understand how much gross stuff they put into the food that they serve at school, it's like eating poison basically, it's so bad for you. not just for weight gain, but for cholestrol and stuff like that. So i think it's a good thing that they'll serve decent food at lunch. And hey it'll probably taste better too, because hopefully it won't be as processed, fried, and frozen somewhere or other. So take it as a good thing :)
