adobe photoshop 8 brushes..., i don`t know how to use them... |

I just got Adobe Photoshop and I think it`s version 8..i`m not sure..anways..I went to this brush place (clickable) and I tried to download brushes.I clicked on download..saved it..I made a compressed folder...(so I could extract the brushes) and I extracted it to Presets--->Brushes.When I went to click on the brush tool..I didn`t see the brushes.I`m not sure where the brushes are suppose to be at and how to download them..can anyone help me?
 tell me what I did wrong and tell me the right way.THANKS

restart ps first
or click the brush tool, go to load brushes , and find it in the presets > brush folder. |

ok you click the 'brush tool'
then do you see the little arrow in the right top corner? well click that find 'load brush' find the brush that you just downloaded click it then your done. |

Use the brush tool.
Go to Windows >> Brushes. Then press the mini arrow and it's there. |
