Okay, so we have this English project. It was given to us last thursda, but I still have a week to finish it. biggrin.gif I just finished reading the book today, and I my assignment was to choose a scene in the book that you think is most important, and make the scene in a shoebox. Then type a two page essay about what that scene is, and why you chose it.

What I need suggestion on is, what scene should I do? I know this is what MY opinion should be, but I think there are A LOT of scenes that are important, but the fact that I can only choose one, makes me really frusterated, because there isn't just ONE important scene.

So, suggestions please..what scene do you think is the most important?

I just want to see all the opinions, and choose the one that most people think is important. biggrin.gif Thankyou, you guys are always a big help. =]

the book can be summed up in three words.

snape kills dumbledore.

so, yea, that's pretty much your only option.

out of curiosity, what grade are you in?

If your whole class is doing that book, there will probably be a LOT of kids doing the death of dumbledore scene.

Maybe when Snape and Narcissa make the Unbreakable vow with Bellatrix.

^i agree w/ that.

apart from doing the scene where Dumbledore dies.

i think you can do the scene...er...i can't remember wt's the exact name of it...
anyway it's where Harry and Dumbledore went into a cave and Dumbledore drank some potion and stuff like that.

i think that will be an interesting scene for you to do

No, it's not my whole class doing it, just me.

Well, yeah, everybody KNOWS the somewhat most important part in the book is when Snape kills Dumbledore, but I want to choose a scene where exposes all the information. I was thinking about the scene where Harry opened the locket (and he found out Dumbledore risked his life for nothing), but that doesn't seem THAT helpful. -_-

Anyways, if I was to do the scene of the cave, to make the scene into a shoebox is kind of hard...I mean, to make it actually LOOK like the setting, I'd probably have to read that section over and over, and I don't really know how I should do it.>.<

And then the scene where Snape kills Dubledore, I can't make it look too gory, and then I have to show all the Death Eaters that are behind Snape. This isn't AS complicated, but I will have to re-read the pages to find out how the setting/background was.

If I was to choose either the "cave" scene or the scene where Snape kills Dumbledore, what I'm having trouble is how exactly to MAKE the scene. What I should use for the background, how should I make the people, etc.

I'm in 7th grade (for whoever asked me which grade I am in).

^ Uhh .. how about the scene where Snape and Narcissa make the Unbreakable vow. Its pretty important. Its right then that Snape vows he will help Draco kill Harry, and its the moment when he justifies his alliance with Voldemort. Itd be pretty easy. A living room with 3 people in it. Its i think the 2nd chapter in the book.

^well....i didnt think it was THAT important..i remember snape and narcissa was in the room..nd bellatrix or wormtail, right?

I thought the part where Dumbledore died was kind of more important since thats when everything kind of "falls into place"....its just that..i have difficulty imagining how i should make it look..-_-

I'm sorry..it sounds like I'm digging answers out of you..its just because I no longer have the book..so I can't look it up. =/

and..what should i make the ppl out of?!?! making them out of clay is kind of hard..any easier way? im going to michaels tomorrow to buy the stuff to make the scene..so..HELP!

HELP PLEASE PLEASE! wink.gif

Please dont triple post. And i still think the Unbreakable vow is important .. But whatever.

Uhm they were on the front steps or osmething like that to Hogwarts and Harry is underneath the invisibility cloak unable to move, and cannot stop Snape from killing Dumbledore. I dont remember if Draco was there and im pretty sure Death Eateres were there but i havent read the book since like 3 days after it came out so my memory isnt very good.

^Well..I haven't truly decided yet..I'm still trying to balance out my results..

Dumbledore's death does affect a lot though. I mean, Hogwarts might get close, Harry is more determined to kill Voldermort, and everything else.

And then the scene where Snape vows that he will help Malfoy is important to..But I mean, if he was on Voldermort's side all along....it wouldnt have made any difference if he made the vow or not...But, by making that vow it meant that he cant break it, or else he dies...right?!?! but..iduno..i just have a feeling that the more important scene is when snape attacks dumbledore..this is the turning point of the story afterall. blink.gif

ChibiChimomo...I can't check anything out for a week....My book was a month overdue...And, if its overdue that long, you have a choice.."pay fee", or disable your checking out books ability for however long your book has been overdue..i know..retarded rule..but yeah...

I really need to know how many death eatters there are..im trying to make it as detailed as I can..and...what do you think i should make the people out of?!?!

sugesstions? ohmy.gif

^ Of course its the more important part. I just thought id give an alternative to what would be such an obvious presentation of the book. But nonetheless, its still a good part to do since your the only one doing it.
