i watch those commercials where you take this pill once a day for 3 months and its a lot of pills so when you stop taking them you get your period. [EDIT the pill is called Seasonale]. doesnt that sound really irregular? i mean isnt that scary. do any of you girls take it?

it just seems so weird to me like stopping nature. to me its like stopping time. but my friend said she never will take it because she is scared that when her period does come if she takes it she will bleed too much? do you think that would happen?

so do you girls take it? and do you know anything else about it?

I don't think I'll ever take that pill..I feel the same way, I don't know it just seems wrong. But that's just my opinion.

Aren't those birth control pills? my mom was saying they sounded nice while watching the commercial, but wasn't seriously considering them. I'm already really irregular, so if I were sexually active, there'd be no way I'd even consider them.

I don't see such a huge problem with it. I know a few people who take them to regulate their period...*shrugs*. And isn't it...when you take the pills, your get your period 4 times a year? Or 3 times? I don't knooow.

If my scheduled period gets in the way of some big event, I might take those pills. It's just a convenience. _unsure.gif

My only draw back is that when you are sexually active, hello scary! At least on regular birth control, I know when my period is coming and when I have doubts about being pregnant, by the end of the month I'll know. With Seasonale, uhh SCARYNESS ENSUES.

I take it. Not for birth control, but to keep my cycle regular.

I like using it, because I know exactly when my period is going to happen and I'm prepared when it comes around.

It's not scary at all. It's just... nice, I think.

^You use Seasonale?

I wanted to get it but then realized that because I am sexually active, I would be freaking out a lot more than I do now.

Actually, I think Seasonale has a birth control hormone in it, so you don't have to worry as much.

I'd use it if it didn't involve me taking a pill everyday... maybe if they had a seasonale patch I'd use it... periods 4 times a year, YESSSSSSSSS

acutally you get your period every month... like you said to regulate your period... my doctor is thinking of me to take the pill because my period only comes a few times a month

growing a mustache is due to high levels of testosterone... the pill doesnt increase testoterone levels...

Uh. Yeah. I know you get your period every month. blink.gif

I said the pills cut down the number of periods you get each year.
