im not sure if this should be in this thread so mods, feel free to close if needed. ermm.gif

on febuary 25, 10 ish kids from our school (sophmores to seniors) are modeling the 2006 spring prom fashions for the Ali Kemp foundation. one of the requirements is to measure yourself for a prom dress. i dont feel like bothering my dad to take me to a dress shop so..i have a question.

does anyone know how to measure yourself for a dress? like the different measurements that i need to use? or maybe an url for help maybe?

i'm sure they'll tell you what measurements they need... but most importantly is the chest, waist, and hips. and height. ask what measurements they want and cm or inches.

depending on the type of dress, in addition to what's there ^^, shoulders, neck, butt (which is kinda like hips), and leg length, and inseam are important too. take whatever you can, it's always better to have more than less. But really, they'l probably do pinning and stuff after.

gosh. modeling requries alot of measurments, but the basic ones are bust, waist, hips, and height. sometimes arm length, leg length, shoulder width, and a bunch of other crap.
