Yeah, I've heard about that. A lot of huge ones, like in Cali, whereas here we're on the large end, even though bands like Lassiter are twice our size.

Haha, well, it's pretty true. The metro area/suburbs of Atlanta are pretty much everything. The other "cities" like Rome, Athens, Savannah are probably less populared than the suburbs. And Romes High School's band isn't bad and pretty big, but we owned everyone at their competition last year, and the ands who one the other classes were all from my country, and the ones under them from the one closest to me. South Georgia is like nothing (and I say that as kindly as possible since I have relatives down there)

Haha, well actually you're kind of lucky then. It's almost like it's easier to win competitions. But then again, I'd rather have all this competition in Texas.. it makes it more fun sometimes and there's more people to compete with.

Yeah, but it's not like there's a lack of good bands. Bands from other states often come to our local competitions just because the competition is better than eslewhere.

Last sunday our marching band went to Giants Stadium for All State Championships, we got 7th out of 14 in group 6. hahah we got 94.36 and 1st place got 96.10 SO CLOSE -_-.

I play the clarinet and I want to play tenor so I can play tenor for drumline. One of my drummer friends is going to teach me this year so I can tryout for next year.

i lost my clarinet the other day (it turned up on the top shelf behind three other, bigger cases. i was not amused) and as i was freaking out, people recommend i use someone else's. um, no. ew.

i play flute. im a freshman. ive been playing for about five years now. im in varsity band, or symphonic band. i play a little piccolo. or i use to, but now since im a freshman, thers some junior girl playing the picc. but whens shes gone...hehheehe....

I used to play the clarinet (mispelled i know). I played just cuz I thought that being in band was "cool". I was only in it for about 2 weeks because I couldnt get it and I even joined half way into a year so there was no way I was going to get caught up.

My brother is going to start teaching me the guitar and the bass in about 2 weeks...

Haha my friend "lost" her ones too. Some other person grabbed it by mistake and started playing it o.O

I don't mind sharing my instrument though (flute) Unless they had mono, then i'd mind.

Yeah, it's less of a bit deal to play flutes or brass instruments. Easier to clean better. Less completely in your mouth, too. I can still barely make sounds on flutes, though. (to be fair, I haven't tried in a while).

I would not have appreciated it if someone had played it. I don't think they did. I think they just movied it because people are unfortunate. There was a big instrument-moving problem last year, I think actually, where people would spontanesouly taking things and put them in hard to find places. Then they got threatened and they stopped.

Okay, I'm not a part of band, but I hope I can still post here. Just wanted to say that I admire all of your talents! I know how hard it is to play an instrument.

my chairtest is tomorrow and i can barely play my clarinet.


this is the fourth chairtest in a row that im going to have to try to get an extension.


i have severe acid reflux, plus a sinus infection.

i can barely breathe much less play.
