They should learn and understand what the other religion is all about. What they shouldn't do is go stark mad and think that their kids are trying to be "converted". Hopefully, if they were understanding parents, when the kids were old enough to decide for their own they'd allow them to flock to whichever faith they feel most comfortable with. I'm gracious that when I told my mom I was agnostic leaning to atheist that she didn't try to keep me in the previous Christian faith.
