My River

There's a river that i've yet to cross,
i'm lost near it's edge-
and i'm pushed away,
so i cannot wade,
and i'm driving a wedge-

now i'm lost in a greater depth,
no one knows that i'm gone-
and i'm reaching out to a distance,
that has been beyond-

where the tide or lack there,
of has reached a rave digging graves-
it's rushing past and taking long,
so it'll last down the ripply waves-
