2nd colorization. I'm pretty pleased with this one, except a couple of things that I messed up on..
1. The eyes are two different colors (woops)
2. You can still see some grey around the hair line..
3. The lips arent that great..

Original- (the image was way too huge and I couldn't remember the thumbnail tags)

Its pretty good, I see the grey you were talking about but its a very good effort. Keep practicing and you'll eventually get better and better.

The image quality isn't great, but it can't really be helped since that's how it was scanned. You already know what you did wrong, so I'm not going to go into that. Pretty decent work for only your second attempt.

yeah, its pretty good, but there gray on the hairline and you colored out of the lines (or too far in) on other parts. but the colors you picked are nice.

I think it's pretty good for a second attempt!

Do you use the lasso tool to colourize? If so, you can always set the feathering to 10-20 ish so that the tricky bits blend in better. (like the hair...I mean, it's impossible to colourize ever single tiny strand of it especially on the hairline, so this is where feathered lasso comes in handy!) Everything blends in together so no harsh lines or gray bits will show.

You can fix your problem of different eye colour by lassoing both irises together, and colourizing from there. That way the colours are consistent. And I think in this case, a less saturated green would work better, because it comes off more realistic.

Good job anyhow, I hope my suggestions helped you out! happy.gif
