have you ever gotten a weird feeling that you've "connected" to someone, particularly someone you like, without even saying a word?

there's this guy. sometimes, whenever i walk into the room, he looks up and he'd hold my gaze for a few moments then we'd both look away, and i get this weird buzzing feeling in my stomach. sometimes i'd be sitting in class, and i know his eyes are on me, so i'd look away on purpose, but i'd get this pang in my chest. it's exciting, like a chill down the spine... like something's sparking, but not lit yet.

but then, whenever we talk, the tingling sensation goes away. i'd be happy because we'd be talking, but i wouldnt be excited. sometimes i think i like him better when we're not talking to each other.

You can't keep running from what you're trying to find.

i had this 'connection' that i think was there.... with this guy last year. i guess there can be a certain special chemistry for no apparent reason with someone.

i guess you dont feel excited when you talk because you're not trying to be elusive or anything. like... it's not as much as a game as the looking away/looking back thing.

awwhs i felt the same way last year...i had this huge "crush" as you would say it on this guy..and everytime i saw him my heart skipped a beat...lols...i mean everytime i talked to him i wouldnt be able to find the words, my throat would grow a knot in it, and my mouth would get dry, and most of all i couldnt stop smiling....iunno..the feeling went away over the summer because i never saw him, and when i came back to school i was informed that he quit school, so yeah...i never really felt that way until one day i saw him drive passed my neighborhood...and i had that feeling again.....iunnno...its just...weird i guess huh.gif

hmm, that's really interesting that your connection with him would fade right when you guys started to talk. Maybe it might just be a physical attraction.
Usually i feel connected like that when i start to talk to a guy and get to know them, but i know what you mean though. there are just certain people that you meet and once you look at them you are connected in a way. Like you were meant to meet that person. Not only with a boyfriend relationship, but as a friend too. you can totally click as friends. It's one of those funny things in life. Kinda like that feeling when you are driving on the highway and you and the person in the car next to you, look at each at the same time. for no apparent reason. It just was natural. lol

K, i've totally had this happen. Actually, it's happening now.

There is this guy in my Bio class and I can't stop thinking about him. And I've only said like 10 words to the guy. Weird, totally.

It is quite confusing.

I dont even know what I'm doing.

I have the feeling with the guy I like right now, except I feel even more connected with him when I talk to him.

If i'm not mistaken, was the point that you like this more when you don't speak with him?

yeah same thing is happening to me.
i had a little crush on this girl and i finally got to talk to her for a while.
then whenever i saw her we had that eye contact thing and i felt i really like her. i still think i do. i just feel scared to go talk to her again. its weird. i wonder if she likes me back...
whatever...

anyways, i think almost everyone has had an experience like that

^ agreed

Usually people experience the physical eye-contact connection, but sometimes (very rarely) we experience the internal connection that is only revealed through conversation ermm.gif

no, actually, that's not the point.

i'm saying that sometimes i feel like we have a mental connection when we're not speaking that words just interrupt. there's no sexual connotation to that at all...
