Does anyone know any really good songs that have a good message to like not give up on life or anything and to keep going n be strong. Im trying to get him to listen to sumthin that will help.

Josh Groban isn't country. It's more...erm..Classical/Opera-ish.

But Hmmm...Give me a min or 2 to think.

Josh Groban - You Raise Me Up

What song did he send to you though?

this is a disney song but
Aly and Aj-Rush
Chorus:
Don't let nobody tell you, your life is over,
Be every color that you are,
Into the rush now,
You don't have to know how,
Know it all before you'll try.

it's not a slow song..but i love teh chorus

well, depends on why he's sad.

and what kind of person he is.

when i was suicidal (only briefly okay!) i listened to like, everybody's fool and going under... it was better for me to hear angry songs so i could convert my despair into anger...

So hes suicidal? Yeah, I think the right song is this one that was sang by Good Charlotte. It includes people who tried to commit suicide. But are still alive today, and regret doing it.

when you're contemplating suicide- you see life quite cynically.

and all logic at that point points to death as a release.

so, screw logic.

go after emotions.

cus when you're staring death in the eye, your heart's the only one staring back.

My boyfriend sang that song in chorus, and it's really beautiful.

Hmm, the first song that comes to mind is, Rufio- Stop Whining. But, I'm not sure if you want to send that to him.
Hmm, I'll edit this or add on if I think of more.

need to know a bit more about his situation:

1. did he break up with his girlfriend?

2. does he feel worthless

3. is he suicidal for no apparent reason?

I think music that pumps him up would be better. Have a good time with him, make him know life is worth living.

Should this be moved to RELATIONSHIPS? _unsure.gif

He needs to realize there is more to life then whatever bad thing has happened to him.

I'm assuming something bad.

Sum 41- Pieces...but I'm not sure that would actually work.
