okay, a while back a girl and I broke up (a year ago, tomorrow) because we just, didn't want to go out anymore. And since then we've been close friends. We still talk a lot on IM, and occasionally on the phone. She lives about 30 minutes away, so I don't exactly see her all too often. But, in the past few weeks, I've found myself starting to like her again, and she's said things to me ("You have to be one of the nicest, coolest guys I've ever met..") which might suggest she is getting closer to me again. Plus, I ran into her downtown the other day, and she tackle-hugged me. I'm not sure I'm interpreting the signals right. What do you guys think?

well, the two of you may be starting to like each other again or becoming really really close friends.

she probably likes you.

she probably likes you. but since you guys are close friends now.
maybe you guys can talk about it. or tell her what your feelings are.
just "try". it never hurts trying.
and maybe if she still likes you. you guys can try it again.
if you want to risk your friendship with someone who you like and feel comfortable with. =]]

I don't know. I'm a girl so I know that girls are very tricky and majority of them send out mixed signals. I suggest just talking to her and straightforwardly telling her you are starting to grow feelings for her again and wonder how she feels about you. If you two are close friends, saying something like that shouldn't hurt the friendship especially because you've been through bigger things together like a breakup. So yeah, just talk to her and try not to jump to conclusions even though it'll be hard because you like her.

talk to her about it, i mean she might be sending you the 'lets be really close friends' signal instead. tell her how you feel see how she reacts
