Well, it matters how, when, and for what reason you are telling them this. Are they asking? Or are you just kinda telling them for the hek of it? I mean there is a time and place for everything.
But if they ask and you tell them, I don't think it's innapropriate. You shouldn't have to lie about it. But like i said, there is a time and place for everything. At times it might be innapropriate, so just choose the people you tell and when wisely. I dunno if that made sense but yah happy.gif

By the way, i think i'm going to move this to relationships.
It would get more feedback there, thanks :)

Hm, agree depends when and how. If you just wanna say it to someone you care about. to see what they say/think of you? I dunno, maybe it is strange for them. Not everyone is open minded. My bf for example is very close minded about that. He would prob act differently if you were a friend of his. It would just be kinda shocking to some. That's all. Prepare them b4 you tell them. Dunno, if they don't accept it they aren't really worth your time anyway, are they?

I know people that are bi.
I don't really care that they are bi.
It doesn't affect how I feel or act around someone.

They probably act different because they know you like girls, too.
They feel uncomfortable because they are used to guy liking girl, girl liking guy.
Seriously, nothing wrong with that.
Bi people are cool.

Agreed. I have friends that are bi. One of them told us when the time was appropriate... the other two told us when the time just wasn't right and for a little while we acted kind of weird around them. Why? For one.. we thought they were just imitating the other girl... and two.. well, it was just that it was those girls.. you would kind of have to know them to get that one. I really don't know, we all thought they were doing it to be "cool" because they often do stuff like that. I'm not saying you're bi because you want to look "cool," I'm just explaining my reasoning behind acting weird around those other two girls.

But, I completely agree that there is a time and place for telling people things like that.

eh guys will think its hot cuz they assume somewhere along the lines the idea of a threesome.

Girls may find it weird cuz its like..the same reason why guys hate gay guys.. its just because its out of the norm...

Are u sure ur bi? alot of girls seem to think they're bi just because they are willing to make out with their best friends.

me on the other hand am understanding lol...my sister says "yea...i think im bi, some girls are hot!" and im like eh its coo, if i were a girl ide like girls too ~_~

my bf's really close minded about things like this, but he usually jokes and says that if i was bi he'd love a threesome _dry.gif
but yeah some people aren't as understanding as others, it takes time for it to sink in.

biggrin.gif biggrin.gif I think that there is a time and place for everything, some people are not used to that type of thing....like the above info is more than might be needed at this time and place. I hope you are not doing this just to be cool because as you get older you might have to make life style changes that might affect your future.

People may act weird about it because:
a. They are close-minded
b. The timing was inappropriate
c. They think you're doing it because it's "cool"
d. They're unused to the idea of members of the same sex being together, but aren't necessarily against it
e. More than one of the above

Meh I dont I used to think i was Bi..and 3 of my friends are. People just dont understand that even if you like girls you dont like every single girl you see. Its the same for girls that like guys..its not like they like every guy they see. And i saw that a lot when i told people i was Bi at that time. Theyd be like ..do you like me? Oh gosh it annoyed me. Anyways i think thats the major problem.
