Awww, I'm sorry. I'm so excited because this is my first anime convention, and it's in my hometown! Awesome to the extreme, if I do say so myself, haha.

Does that mean you're not going to go?

Hopefully you can. I'm so anxious for it. And I'm dyeing my hair pink just for that occasion.

kitty: Sure sure! Anything you decide if fine by me!

Unfortunately, I am not a fan o cosplaying. I can never find a person who fits the character. They look out of place. It's just... Wierd.

And thank you for more banners, I might use one of them.

And I wonder what Phil looks like?

Yeah, I used to live in Maryland. But I wasn't big into anime at the time. It wasn't until I moved to North Carolina that I really started watching anime. Someday I will go to Otakon though, we go back to MD to visit all of the time.

I've posted all about my cosplaying ideas on the appropriate thread. It sounds like fun. Then again, I do renaissance festival too. Dressed up as a dark fairy this past year.

I finally started reading xxxHolic again. lol Not sure if I wanna read the Tsubasa or not. What's it actually about?

Tsubasa is for clamp fans. Its a anime with all the clamp characters put together for a story line. Main characters are Sakura and Li from cardcaptors and what they doing is going to different dimensions to get back sakura's feathers... Lolz bad summary but its still there =P.

No cosplay for me for a while because I still have to find a wonderful character to do. I want to wear shinigami captian level clothes haha =P..

Ah, thanks. That's actually a pretty good summary.

Captain level Shinigami clothes are the best. I'd do Kenpachi...if I was a buff man that is....

I want to do Hitsuyaga or however you spell his name. The 13 year old captain. I just love his hair style.

I adore him. He's cute!! kawaii!!

Anyway...bleh. So while I was over in the forum games, somebody said that anime was so last year. That she liked it until it got popular. Who agrees that true love of anime doesn't depend on it's popularity, but the plot, characters and art? I think it's stupid to abandon something because you're trying to not follow the crowd. It's like all of the kids a few years ago who were trying really hard to be "non-conformists" all they really achieved was conforming to a different style.

I agree clamp is awesome!! Take a few pictures and show us please =P

Other than that.. Anime is something you can keep onto even though it gets popular.. There is no such thing as following a crowd into it.. Its just that someone recommends you a good anime and you start watching it.. So big deal -__-;;

I liive in an itty bitty town where no one but several choice people likes anime and they're all my friends. My mom wants me to be "normal" so I can't go to anime convetions until two years because then I'll be moving to New York ^^

It's perfectly "normal" to like anime. It's just another interest. Like reading. Ask your mom if you liked Disney cartoons a whole whole lot if that would make you weird. Because there are lots of people who are big fans of Disney cartoons, but nobody thinks of that as being a "trend" or abnormal. It's just because America thinks it's the coolest. Americans tend to have a superiority complex, and they feel as if Japan is taking over our "culture". Whereas most countries used to adopt ours. They adress anime and the wave of popularity as something that's stealing our culture because we ran out of ideas.

I've got a news flash. America was founded by people running away from their own countries. Only the Native Americans have true American culture. And it's totally different from ours. We have no culture, we've always stolen/borrowed from other cultures. Even most of our traditions are based on English tradition. There are few things we can actually claim as our own.

So why not just like anime for what it is instead of because it's popular or not popular. bleh stubborn.gif That whole thing made me cranky. Sorry.

I really adore Clamp's art style, it's so beautiful and detailed. I should probably pick up Chobits. I see it everywhere and I'm always like...now what is this about? The characters look so lovely!! In xxxHolic Watanuki has to wear these little ears that are like communication devices, that look like Chi's. It was pretty funny.
