List some brands that are overrated.
Name some that are underrated too.

The only one I can think of for overrated is Hollister, the price and the quality (I mean the style and the frabric quality) don't balance.
The price is too expensive, and most shirts are really thin (not the ones for layering), also some styles are really ugly.

However, there are some good clothes from Hollister.

For underrated, I can't think of any right now.

Edit: I searched but can't find any matching results.

hmm.
well i dunno, but AF for sure.
i wear alot of abercrombie. since 2002[summer],
but thats not what my wardrobe is made up of.
i really like:

modern amusement
Zara
Mr. Chip's (and the other shirts at Urban Outfitters)
diesel
etc. (over all, iwear very preppy clothing)

but not strictly abercrombie.
stubborn.gif
it gets me mad when all people own is AF and hollister.
i believe it shows how ignorant, feeble, and easy controlled the person is.
be urself, show individuality... dammit
thank you.

as to you, "hiphop"
i cant really think of anyone feeling fat in hollister,
just get a bigger sized shirt.

and i dont like the shirts from hollister for girls.
try other preppy/girlie brands
like juicy, bebe, vertigo...

baby phat has alot of cute stuff too wink.gif

Lacoste is VERY OVERRATED.
the price is ridiculous.
i remember [well my mom remembers]
when she had like 468466488364 lacoste polos...
they used to sell for like $15 [or so]

Pumas are overrated too.
everyone suddenly wants a pair.
ive liked them for a while now, and must admit
their designs are awesome,
but they dont last.
my mostros are destroyed.
they almost look like my abercrombie jeans. [extremely ripped]
and i bought them in june.
In constrast, my gucci loafers [which i got in CHRISTMAS]
look brand new... and im always wearing them...

converse ...UGH...
wtf, now they are almost $40
and used to be for $10 and no one would buy them,
except emo/rocker guys.

i hope im not giving off the impression that im cheap,
cause trust me, im not.
Im the furthest thing from it, but im not an airheaded baffoon [only sometimes]
.. sure i`ll pay $200 for a pair of sunglasses
and $300 for a pair of loafers or shoes.
but $80 for a crappy polo...
no thanks.
i pay the money when its worth it
burberry makes better ones for a bit more.
[polo is cheaper too and better]

Pacsun, Hollister, A&F, all thos kinds of brands. Not that I don't own some stuff from them, but like Renier said, too many people own too many of those clothes. It's all a trend and no personal style. And all those hiphop brands, too.

Underrated Brands: Faconnable, Rock & Republic, Paper Denim & Cloth, Hugo Boss, Theory, Micheal Kors (and more to come)

Those are brands that may not get the widespread exposure because they're expensive, and because blueblooded teenagers born with silver spoons in their mouths can't see past Abercrombie jeans and Juicy Couture bags.

Abercrombie is overrated. I worked there. THe entire company is a burning bag of shit and poorly managed (Hollister included).

Juicy, A&f, Ambercrombie are all overrated it's like seeing the same thing wherever you go. Everyone wears the exact same thing. There are on occation where I see ppl with the same shirts and stuff but they got their OWN personal flare and add something else to look "original".

I LOVE Puma but I do have to admit there is quite a little weird obsession over it. Some people don't get it just for their own personal style, they just get it coz it's "Puma" which kinda pisses me off because I see so many people out there with so much Puma stuff and it has nothing to do with what they are wearing whatsover it just looks weird. I think that's why I don't have too many Puma stuff yet LOL What a contradictory LOL

OVERRATED

lacoste. seriously, everybody makes a huge deal now since it's so expensive and people want clothes from there to look "elite"..geeze. the people at my school are so frustrating.

american eagle. what is this, the poor man's abercrombie? their shirts annoy me. (however, they do have nice blazers....eh.)

okay maybe this isn't a brand, but hot topic.

Overrated:
A&F, Hollister, American Eagle, Lacoste, ECKO...
Basically anything with an animal logo.

Underrated:
Old Navy.
If you're really strapped for cash and crave a pseudo Abercrombie look, you could get it here for cheap.

Fantaseyes
Ever seen these sunglasses? They have great almost knock offs of high class brands for $20. They hold up pretty well, too.

sunglasses, even the $1000+pair are never worth anyting past 50 bucks. if you see what it takes to make them, you'll see why. they put more work into an electric pencil sharpener than they do for $200-$1000+ pair of sunglasses rolleyes.gif

alot of hip hop brands are overated, as is abercrombie
express mens is underated, its cool now; i think buckle is a bit underated too _unsure.gif at least around where i live

You don't consider Hugo Boss and Michael Kors to get widespread exposure? I've always thought of them to be household names...

Overrated:
Like everyone is saying Abercrombie. Also So Low, they use the same skin-tight material for all of their clothes, and EVERYONE where I live has those ugly "So Low" pants...

Underrated:
Express Men's. I know a lot of people shop there, but I just don't think it gets enough props. I think they've changed a lot for the better, from when they were called "Structure".

I agree with you all when you say that Abercrombie, Hollister, and Pac Sun are all overrated. I buy clothes from Hollister too, but I miss the days when the shirts were $9.90. Pac Sun is expensive too, and some of the shirts you can get somewhere else for a lower price. Abercrombie is just waaaay overpriced, their jeans are $60-$100 dollars and the more destroyed you want them, the more expensive they are!

I love Zara! I went shopping there in Spain. The clothes were cheap, cute, and such good quiality! I haven't seen a Zara store over here, though.
