2012, end of the world? Options

my friend told me about that.
there are soo many ways for the world to just end.
could be the bird flu. could be some other kinda disease. could be a bomb. could be a meteor. could be another storm/tsunami/earthquake/etc.

has anyone heard of someone predicting the end of the world to be on december 21, 2012? my summerschool teacher said that a guy predicted that and he was also the one who predicted 9/11 [said something about 2 brothers falling due to a bird; the 2 brothers = twin towers; bird = airplane]. i barely know anything about this stuff?

there was this guy at my church who predicted john f kennedys assination, 9/11 the iraq war and all this other stuff. and he said that if 6 natural disasters were caused by the summer, the earth would blow up. 6 natural disaters occured and nothing happened. dont worry about it.

doesnt it seem ironic that there is the strongest hurricane about to occur that has ever been recorded and when was the last time that there was some mass disease being spread that there was no vaccination for? (besides west nile)

He also predicted the flooding of the united states, you know new orleans and shit? That happened this year? Nostradamus hasn't been wrong more than a few times out of his hundreds of predictions.. He is the one person who quit possibly had a documented clairvoyancy (ability to forsee) .. with his track records i would assume he is correct , or a year or 2 off.. But yes he clearly documented " A rising power wouldtry to enslave the world " In the mid 40's .. he was talking about hitler. And how the world would have to join forces to ultimately stop him. He also has many predictions relationg , as we assume, to china trying some shit. They after all are the most populous country and have nuclear technology , a large army, the largest i think, and they are communist. Ive spoken with many people from china who think that something might be brewing in the next couple of decades. In any case, we are long over due for a large scale nuclear war, we know its going to happen. Saddam just didn't have the nukes. But someone will have them, and then.. yah were f**ked. I give us less than 50 years to live. Im optomistic! hhahah

Hmmmm... I don't think thats true. The whole 2 brothers = twin towers and bird = plane thing is a bit of a stretch. If he knew there would be planes hitting the twin towers he would have just said so.

it is really stupid how man thinks that they can predict things that will happen.

or that they are the smartest beings alive.

because seeing the way all humans live now... we're pretty damn stupid.

therefore, we are not smart enough to know when the world is ending.

2012 is the end of the mayan calendar. As well as the end date for many other calenders of lost gone ancient civilizations... I do not know if its really the date for the doomsday or anything...but when it comes it comes... and btw the bible has some vague references to doomsday. Its called the book of revelation...

It's not gonna end. The end of the world should've happened so many times by now that dates become arbitrary. It'll happen when our Sun goes supernova in a few billion years from now.
