^ the trick is to believe you are already dead, and it doesn't matter if you do betray your loved ones, the tourture still won't stop.

of course, that's just my thinking. and i have no intention of testing it.

Under enough torture, logic isn't really going to play a roll in your thought process though. All but the most extraordinary of persons will just do what they can to make the torture stop. The pain is an immediate concern; logical consequences are something that will be put off until later.
