Okay..soo I tried to download some brushes from Here to my PSP..I was wondering what file type does PSP9 use? JBR right? and how do you exactly download them? I renamed the file as JBR from its original (ABR) and the extracted it it to my file BRUSHES...but the brushes didn't show..I figured I did it wrong..so how do you exactly download brushes to PSP9? NOTE:I'm a begginer..just got the program

-shakes head- It uses.... Not .JBR - not anymore at least.
You upload the .JBR file through File -> Import -> Custom Brush(es) ---- To download, it's exactly the same as PS. The installation is different tho. |

^ You don't have to.
PSP has the nifty feature where you can basically tell it to look in any folder for brushes or whatever. And it doesn't have to be My PSP files, it can be the program path too. (c:/program files/jasc software/paint shop pro 9/brushes - something like that.) |

PSP 9? It's supposed to be a.... .PspBrush file. Probably with a .PspScript file to go along with it. For.JBR brushes, you need to download and unzip them then upload them through File -> Import -> Custom Brush (something like that...)

You need to unzip them first.
QUOTE hopefully, choosing the open folder option you will see your brush folder as the little manila folder icon with a zipper on it. right click, and choose extract all. if you don't see your folder, or for some reason, it doesn't open a windows explorer window for you, open one yourself and look at the same :>program files>adobe>photoshop>presets>brushes route to find your folder. Yeah, and then you go to File -> Import -> Custom Brush. And they work. I use them in my PSP9.
![]() ![]() after choosing extract all, you will be prompted for the location to extract to. leave everything the same, except erase everything after "brushes/" ![]() |

use the edit button. For the folders go to start>>my computer.
For psp 9 : QUOTE fishcake-y Posted Oct 12 2005, 7:58 PM -shakes head- It uses.... Not .JBR - not anymore at least. You upload the .JBR file through File -> Import -> Custom Brush(es) ---- To download, it's exactly the same as PS. The installation is different tho. just save the brush soemwhere( the unzipped version) on your computer. Open psp 9 and go to file>import> custom brush/es like said above.. Then the brush will go to the brush folder. Then click the brush tool to use it. |
