Hi,

Over the summer and at the end of last school year I went through a major friend change. I started hanging out with the girls that I used to hang out with more. However, even though they're my closest friends right now, I sometimes have trouble telling thm when something is wrong or upsetting me. I have anxiety problems which they do know about but I also have a bit of a self-esteem issue. I haven't said anything because:

a) I don't want to sound pathetic in front of the girls that will most likely be with me for the remainder of high school.
b) They're always comparing themselves to me outright. "Oh you can sing and act and write and draw!" I'm not trying to keep up any Super Woman image so where are they getting this? Are they just saying this and then mocking me out when i turn my bacK? (which brings me to my next point)
c) Girls are venomous, we all know that. My friends are very nice but we do sit around in groups and talk about who is annoying and who we just don't like and why. And yet, then we see each other walk up to that person that we have just complained about and act like a close friend to them. Well I can only guess what you are saying about me girls. Before you ask, no, I do not talk about them like that. If one of them is becoming a full blown bitch then we do complain to each other about it but most of them have never bitched to me (to my face).

Should I say anything about my self-esteem or leave it. I really do not want to bother them about this but it is beginning to get to me.

Thank you for any comments/suggestions.
