I was wondering if posting someones IP Address onto my xanga was illegal?

I'm not sure if it, but having a tracker that tracks certain usernames and ip addresses aren't really allowed on xanga I think, but since those aren't I guess you shouldn't post someones ip address, but why would you want to?

But that information can be found easily so it wouldn't be illegal. Just because some chick was being a dumba*s :)

I'd consider it legal except illegal. A hacker can find almost anything about you with an IP address. He can search through your files, AIM conversations, any kind of information, such as social security number, credit card, etc. And not to mention, they can destroy the computer by gaining access with the IP address and inserting a virus, possibly a trojan virus, or some kind of hidden spyware that stops the computer from working. Anything is possible with a IP address. Well...you get what I mean.
