John 3:16? Maybe they need to adopt a little golden rule. They have the most outlandish and unfair return policy!! I dont like them!! lol But thats very curious. I never noticed it before, but I have a bag in the hall way of stuff I was GOING to return but its been 21 days...jerks...but yeah, thats nice I suppose. as long as it doesnt impose (obviously it didnt cuz I have about 4 of their bags on my floor right now and I never noticed) and they arent hurting anyone :D

i was totally buggin on that too. it makes sense, now that you've mentioned the whole trying to convert ppl thingy. personally, i think the catholics should stop trying to convert people who DON'T WANT TO BE CONVERTED! if they do, then they would've by now. grrmama. mad.gif

To all of you people who are 'offended' by this.. grow up. It's their company, they can do whatever they want. If you don't like it, don't buy from them. It's not that complicated.
They're not trying to 'convert' anyone by putting a scripture reference on the bottom of their bags..
If they were really interested in converting people, there's many more effective ways to do it. Especially considering all the money they have at their disposal.
I'm still confused by it myself.. I'm not sure what exactly their motive is. Personally I think it's to appeal to the religious crowd, without being all preachy about it.
But hey, that's just my opinion.

Good job bumping a three year old topic. Most of the people that are offended don't post here anymore.

But, to make this a more constructive post, I'm gonna wikipedia it.

Edit:
QUOTE(Wikipedia)
The store's trademark yellow shopping bags have the words John 3:16 printed on the bottom, a reflection of the owners' Christian faith.[12]

I just noticed this too and I can honestly say it was a pleasant surprise! In reading all the posts regarding this I am appalled at the many "negative" responses! Why is it when anything promotes Christianity most people get "up in arms" about it but when it promotes darkness and evil; people either "jump on the bandwagon" or don't even blink an eye??? Says alot about our world. . . I for one commend Forever 21 for sticking to their beliefs regardless of any negativity! If non-believers have rights then so do believers!

The Forever21 family is religious the daughters attend a church I know but seeing the trend, it might be a korean thing.
Forever21 dosent make their own bags, they hire manufacturers to produce their bags and since not every bag has the religious quote, I'm guessing the manufacturer of the bags is very religious, like other Korean Businesses, Forever21 might be a victim. Boba Loca (another Korean owned Chain) has John 3:16 on their cups, not every bag or cup has the quote, but if they do, it's always John 3:16. Who knows, Yogurtland and Pinkberry might end up like this
