just some old poem i wrote for english class Options

so, i had to write different types of poems about a specific theme. mine was love. this was supposed to be like an elizabethan sonnet. it took me forever. please note, i wrote this 3 yrs ago.

its crappy. but im bored, and honestly, i need to get my post count up.

She was to be married to him that day,
“I love thee as birds love the trees,” he said.
But she had doubts and had nothing to say,
Not much time to think, she was about to wed.
She ran into the forest to escape
She heard a voice calling from nearby
“He loves thee not, his heart is not agape.”
A high pitched sound screeched a hideous cry,
“Love he not, doth he earn thy heart not.”
She protesteth, ”In him my heart doth lie,
Silence thy loud voice which I hath not sought.”
She turned and walked out of cool forest nigh,
She doth hear a voice, a different voice,
‘Twas her own voice, “I do, this is my choice.”
