Ok, I have this pretty strapless dress.. except I'm not really that comfortable w/ strapless dresses... so I was wondering what kind of cover up would match the best? (Shawl/shrug/denim jacket/etc.) Help please! Homecoming is next Saturday and I'm excited!

I hate shrugs. Therefore, I would go with a nice shawl, or a light sweater.

Definitely go for a shrug, preferably in black or white, since your dress has enough going on what with the hot pink and sparkly bits. Shawls seem a little too old-fashioned and and denim isn't exactly in the vocabulary for "semi-formal".

I love strapless dresses. I want one when I get married, they're so pretty.

I love yours, just make sure you have nice hair and nice shoes =P

Black shrugs. That matches the dress perfectly.

I'd wear a sheer black or white (I think black would look better) shrug. Sheer is really classy and if any of your dress would be covered you could still see it. Have fun at homecoming!

i think a shrug would be too much.

if you are trying to dress it down: a dark denim jacket

if you are trying to dress it up: a silky shawl in the color of the sequins

Yeah I think denim would make it look awesome. It would give you a lot of attitude. I mean, if youre worried about being formal its too late now because you bought a not-full legnth dress. So I say milk it for what its worth. Oh, and thats from Charlotte Russe I see. Thats where I got one of my homecoming dress from. You go girl :D

My grade 12 formal dress is strapless....
Yea.........its kinda uncomfortable for me too since I dun really wear that kinda stuff often

My formal/prom(a lil more casual compared to prom).......I'm using a shawl~

I'm not sure about getting a shawl with sequins though........that sounds too overdone considering ur dress already has a lot of sequins on it.

Wear short jacket.
That always works, but make sure to match the colour and maybe the fabric with it.

I like the dress, but I don't like how sequency it is...

No, it's not really a formal event.. this dance is gonna be more fun & flirty. I think I'm gonna get a black shrug like many suggested, but should it be the kind that ties in front or not?

i.e. http://www.teenresearch.com/TRUSubscriptio...22-05_shrug.jpg

The 2 shrugs on the right side... how one ties and one doesn't.

The one on the top right and bottom right would be the best, in my view.
They look perfect for the dress!
