why are most sites without the www. thing and how can u get a w3 site?

A .htacess code allows you to do so - most hosting companies include this preinstalled. If not, not typing the "www." in should still redirct you to the page.
A w3 site? Uhm, explain in greater detail, I'ver never heard of this. |

Once upon a time, "www" was a subdomain that indicated the server was serving webpages, as opposed to "ftp" (file transfer), "gopher" (gopher), and so forth. Now, most webservers will automatically redirect to the www subdomain so you can just type in the domain of the server.
You can get a www.whatever.tld address by buying a hostname from register.com, registernames.com, godaddy.com, or another hostname dealer. |

1dollarhosting.com should be the cheapest, thinking you can't do much with $1 lol.
