just thought id mention thats it turned again. its headed more closely to houston and galveston, though currently lined up with Freeport.

Fled to Hawaii! It’s a great place to live peacefully and be relaxed. Hopefully, the bad stuff won’t go along in your mind that often.
Maybe, SoCal ? Yeah, these locations are very hot for now. (Obviously, it's Summer) |

I live near Sugar Land, of course I'm worried. I was born in one of the first places the hurricane will hit. I'm terrified. Evacuating to San Antonio tomorrow though the freeways are jammed pack and nothing seems to be moving.

i realized today that that was why my friend was in dallas.
we're taking in an old family friend. or actually an old family family for about a week. my dad is overseas, but he has us keeping the cars filled with gas, just in case. i'm not worried about myself. just my friends that live in that area.  ps. dallas kids, visit me? |

We still haven't left for San Antonio. I live by Sugar Land (its named that because Imperial Sugar used to have a factory here, btw) but my house is really really unstable. I don't think it would survive the 70mph winds they have predicted for our area. Does anybody have any suggestions on where to leave a dog? He's too big to come with us, we're cramming 5 grown people into a 4-seater car as it is. I thought about leaving him outside on the leash but the winds...and in the bathroom but I don't want him to be stuck if the roof caves or something

it's getting WEAKER. WOOOHOOOOO... http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at200518.html look there to see... the winds will be about 70mph when it hits Sugar land / Houston area (i think) so........ it should be okay. :) |

oh yeah! houston is gonna hit by the left side of the hurricane now so that's awesome! which means im not gonna get hit that bad but the high winds are probaly still there.. i live near Katy (next to Highway 6 really) but yeah...
houston got majorly saved (as of now) |
