transparent image & a background |

i made this polka dotted background and i wated to make this image on the bottom right
so i made the image transparent when i move it on to the background, the trasparented pictures bacground is blackish and when i try to upload it on imagechack, i wont work oh and are trasparent images supposed to be saved as gif? my friend did it for me and yeah |

Yes, they are supposed to be saved as gif
and if you did it in photoshop you have to make sure that you went to save for web>> and make sure it was on gif & was set to allow transparency and blah blah blah. |
