I recently sat, and made all the code on my site Valid XHTML Transitional. So I was wondering, does anyone else take the time to do this? It took me about a half hour, but I've heard of it being a completely horrid task. So yea, what are your thoughts on validating your code? Do you do it?

I think I my first layout was validated, but it took me forever to make sure I fixed all the mistakes that I gave up. If it turned out the way I wanted it to, I was happy and I left it like that.

Pst! It's soo much easier if you just go here and ask what your mistakes are.

Most of the time, it's just a few mistakes. But CSS is different I think.

Reili, shouldn't this go in Programming ?

No, I've never validated any of my layouts.. It's probably because I'm too afraid of finding a bajillion mistakes and stuff. It's already a hassle for me to try and make my layout perfect in viewing standards.

It talks about validating codes.. which should fit under Programming. I'm not sure if a lot of people would know what he's talking about if it were in the Lounge. Mind if I move it ?

You didn't establish the doctype in the beginning.

CODE
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

That has to be @ the beginning

No, actually, I don't. Head Staff just puts me in the position to mod all the forums.
