ok. my friend was driving my car at the school parking lot the other day. she backed into a parked car. she told me to take the blame since she didn't have her license on her. (she "does" have her license, it just wasn't on her) she says you can get in big trouble for it, but im not sure.

so i took the blame and damages on the parked car turned out to be 760 $ and damages on mine were 500 $

she was reall desperate at the time of the accident she told me she will pay for it all, except i needed to take the blame.

it's a week later now, and everytime i bring it up, she just says, "if he wants the whole payment at one time , i can't do it" and she wants to buy the paint and just fix my car that way. (am i bein ripped off.?)

she does not want her mom to find out about this.

i am getting kind of nervous on how this problem will be solved. should i just tell the officer that she was the one who hit the car; not me, so i won't get in the middle of this? would she even be in trouble? should i let her fix my car the cheap way, (buying paint) what should i do?! this is stressin me out, and i want my car back the way it was.

b/c I'm not paying for any damages i didn't commit.

thanks.

//edit my insurance isnt getting involved at all.

You should be honest with everything.

You're being rip off, you have to pay for both damages.

Then, she's not a right friend. (obvious) Dont take your friend lightly.
You need the guts to screw her over.
It's not right to write report a lie to your insurance and the DMV.

No matter what you do, never EVER take the blame for something that you didn't do in a car accident. It could end up costing you a lot in damages, plus insurance. Obviously, it's too late for that right now. You need to let your friend know that you have to tell the truth in order to get this all straightened out. If you think she's going to be mad at you, you can tell her that you told one of your parents and they're making you tell the officer the truth. Either way, you don't want to be stuck with this on your record. Plus, this shouldn't be your problem...it's hers.

*CRASH*

her: OMG YOU have to take the blame, I"LL GET IN TROUBLE OMG TAKe the blame PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ME: YOU SURE YOULL GET IN TROUBLE? IM SURE YOU WON'T YOU JUST DIDNT HAVE THE LICENSE ONE U.

HER: YES MY MOM WILL KILL ME , ILL BE IN SOOO MUCH TROULBE ILL PAY FOR IT PLEASE I HAVE MY BANK ACCOUNT

now i think she's takin advantage of me.

btw. My insurance isn't getting involved at all. i do not want it to go up since i didnt do this.

like everyone else said...she's not your true friend. she's screwing you over when really you should not be taking this lightly with her. either tell her that you need the money soon or someone is going to have to tell the truth rather it's you or her.

Tell the truth, if you take the blame, it damages your driver's record and it will stay there forever.

Since she is not a true friend to you, let her suffer, it is her fault for being a bad friend and drive unsafely, not you, you have a chance to get out of the trouble, then do it. Sorry for being like an evil person or something like that. But everyone has a time when he/she is selfish. It can't be avoided, it's reality.

she's not a real friend. if you don't tell, she'll probably never pay you back and you'll be stuck with all the blame and having to pay your fines. don't lie to her about "my parents made me tell" because that's just really lame. just tell her the truth, if she can't stand this fact, then you're better off without her.

Make my friend's parent force her to tell the truth too !

Aye, it's the right thing.
