What do you call those things producers use when, they say ACTION!? |

Does anyone know the formal name of those little black and white boxes that producers use when they say ACTION or cut?
I really need the answer, lol. Thx. |

Clapboard. And, generally speaking, it's the director that says "action", "cut", and whatnot, and a production assistant or other staff member who actually does the action of opening and closing the clapboard.

yup thats right just about anyone can do the clap board it is just for the camera and later cuting
