Goblet of Fire cast Options

Katie Leung is going to play Cho Chang in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I saw some pictures of her and no offense to her but she's not that pretty, and she doesnt look like cho chang at all.

and besides...im suppopsed to be Cho chang!!!

Actually, I felt okay about the choice for Cho. Some people just don't look too great in pictures, and I think she's one of them. I saw her on some entertainment show in action, and she looked very pretty there.

And you know, I don't think Brenda Song is all that pretty either. Amazing what a bit of makeup can do, IMO. What ethnicity is she, anyway? Chinese? Viet? She just looks way too slutty to be Cho. And Cho's a Ravenclaw. Sorry.

even though i don't find katie all that attractive, i think shes perfect for the part. c'mon BoA (korean popstar) even auditioned. although she has the looks, could you really imagine a fobby asian to play cho chang?

I know this doesn't have anything to do with the cast, but I'm really disappointed that John Williams wasn't signed on to doing the soundtrack. He composed some really great pieces for the movie. That's what I'm dissappointed about.

WOAHHH BOA AUDITIONED!!!??? WHAT OMG I KNEW SOMETHING of the fact of boa cause when i looke dup katie leung pictures for the cast of harry potter i saw more BOA pictures then Katie. and one had a picture of katie but words with BOA on it? like umm okay i thought like katie was her step sister or something lol.
i can't believe BOA auditioned LMAO. for some reason i think thats funny i dont know why. and she didnt get the part makes it somewhat amusing. i mean i love BOA and everything but yeah her playing cho would seem odd. Katie looks fine for the part. im actually happy she got it. Because like many people say Katie is ugly, i dont think she really is. Them picking he ri think was for a good cause, you dont have to be pretty in order to get an acting career way to many shows and commercials advertise perfect people. i dont think there perfect at all. doesnt mean that there perfect inside... I think it's awful how people are totally tearing apart the Cho Chang actress. The poor girl lands a once-in-a-lifetime role and people hate her guts for it. Nasty people.

I do think Fleur is very pretty. What were you guys expecting, a 'perfect' girl? There is no such thing.

Other than Fleur and Krum, the rest of the cast has to be British. Those two don't count because they're French and Bulgarian in the book. So of course they're going to cast French and Bulgarian actors.

So, there are exceptions. It isn't an ALL British cast. And also, people are able to fake British accents. I'm sure not everyone in the movie is actually British.

I'm disappointed by the casting for this movie. I'm still going to go see it though. It looks pretty tight, for real. I love the book so it's a no brainer....still, I'm really disappointed that Fleur isn't prettier. Fleur is supposed to be part veela. That means, very enchanting and beautiful. Someone that would make guys oogle unintentionally. The actress they cast for Fleur, well, she's plain. Nothing enchanting about her at all. And she's like 21, which isn't quite right, since they made sure to cast the rest of the actors around the ages of the characters they would be playing....Madame Maxime is disappointing as well. It's pretty clear, to me at least, that Madame is supposed to be a giant, like Hagrid. Madame is supposed to be quite large....but I think that overall, they did a good job of casting.

Another rumor I've heard is about Harry Potter 5. I've heard some talk of Kelly Osbourne playing Tonks in 5. I hope not, but it could happen...any thoughts on that??

Hmm, well there's a new trailer out (http://movies.aol.com/movie_exclusive_harr...ter_goblet_clip) where you can at least see the actors. It's pretty interesting, and makes me want to see the movie even more.

Eh, I was judging on what I saw from her pictures, not from whatever she does. It doesn't really matter if she does Barney, she still looked slutty to me.

And can Cho Chang me a Thai or Hmong name anyway? I always thought that was Chinese. I'm not really familiar with the language so I'm not sure if that could be a name in those languages.

So if Cho Chang really was a Chinese name, and if the casters of Harry Potter really make such a big deal about Fleur being French, Viktor being Bulgarian and Oliver to be Scottish, then wouldn't they cast a Chinese girl as Cho, too? Not a Thai-American and Hmong girl?




And I find it hilarious that BoA tried out for it.

I don't know why everyone is saying how ugly Katie Leung is. They obviously judged their first impressions on that paparazzi pic where Katie is obviously not ready for the picture.

haha actually i think she's still ugly in that picture her round face reminds me of a pancake. anyways the bottom line is, they could've had a much prettier girl, but oh well. i hope this katie girl will be a good actress. then again, she has like 5 lines in the 4th movie...
