Hmm... Well it really depends. I haven't been in Hollister in a while, but they never really gave me weird looks. But one time I was wearing overalls and they gave me weird looks. I think it depends on the location, as well as how you present yourself. If you wear their clothes, abercrombie (& fitch), or all those other labels, they will be nice to you, because they know that you've got much dinero (moola), thus they must try their hardest to sell their merchandise.

But then again, I've never seen an Asian that works at Hollister. I've seen plenty Asians working at A & F though. whistling.gif

I would say the majority of the girls at Hollister are pretty--but not all. Most of the time it's just that their bodies are perfect. I wish I was tall like them. cry.gif

It's like that around here. I had a friend who worked there and she said that they would talk about customers who they thought were so-called "ew". She said that one time this fat girl came in there and her and her co-worker were saying how she shouldn't even be there because she probably couldn't fit into anything. Yeah.. pretty f**ked up if you ask me.

Ask BrandonSaunders. He works there. He things that they hire based on looks. Anyway, hmm, should this possibly be moved to fashion since it's about Hollister - a clothing company?

Uh, most of the people in our Hollister are physically fit... and they look good in the Hollister clothes. They aren't racist though, b/c I've seen almost every race work there.

Hahaha, your calling your sister ugly.
Don't most prep clothing stores do this?
I know abercrombie does, They made those racist shirts and the one around here doesn't hire non whites.
Im guessing American Eagle and Hollister do the same thing.

Goshies...I hate those places. (-___-);
I just stay away from them because I'm so ugly and I know they'll die when they see me. So, I keep wondering how I can get them in trouble at the store! Ahahahaha! Those preps....

What's sad is that we have an abercrombie and a hollister right next to eachother...

Anyway,

When I go there I see that it's not just the workers that have to be beautiful...it's the customers as well. I'm not gorgeous, I think I'm good-looking, but not gorgeous. I'm also not the coolest cat in the alley. I've walked in there a few times, and I've notcied that I just get these...mean looks. I wanted to try something on and they told me to wait. Then this beautiful girl asked to try something on, and she got right in. She even got a smile. (I didn't get no damn smile. stubborn.gif )

It's just like the popluar girls at school...but retail style.

American Eagle doesn't. The people who work at the American Eagle here are extremly nice, not all are attractive. (they're sooooo kind, sometimes it gets to be annoying)

I like shopping at American Eagle. their clothes are adorable and the employees are so sweet.

Yup!

i remember i went shopping at hollister for the FIRST TIME EVER (i absolutely dislike stores like that) but it wasn't for me, it was for my boyfriend. my man is tall, tanned and sexy :] he looks like he'd fit the requirements for hollister...when we walked in, they were all nice to him and totally ignored me...(im asian, absolutely not a model-material, and ...normal :P) i didn't understand it...

i later went to Armani cuz my boyfriend wanted to get me something "name branded" so i gave in...the salesgirl was looking at me as if i can't possibly fit into any of their clothes...well PROVES HER WRONG! i found a nice shirt that i fit into PERFECTLY!

B!tCh!!! :0

well. .i worked at abercrombie.... and not allthe workers were that goodlooking ...esp the girls ...some of them were pretty ugly actually ..it's not necessarily true.. .but you have to at least look decent and dress accordingly to the store.

It's true. Every bit of it. However, if brought to the attention of the Human Resources dept, then you can add to the long list of lawsuits against the company.

I work at both Hollister and Abercrombie and I work in the front. I don't wear the clothes and I proudly go into work wearing a LaCoste polo, Paper Denim or Express Jeans and a pair of Diesels. They don't tell me a damned thing.

Yeah, I wouldn't really put it past them.. I don't think you have to be of a certain race, but just "good-looking". They probably do that in Abercrombie and Aeropostale and American Eagle, etc. I've never really seen any wider-than-stick-figure-build people who work there. blink.gif

yup. its true. i heard abercrombie wont hire you unless youre white or african american. and if you are hired, you just go to work in the storage room sorting all the clothing and putting the clothing out. never, are you allowed to work as the cash register.

Yeah, it really isn't fair in that unfair sort of way (?), but I think they do have the "right" to hire whoever they want. And I think it's different for every store.. depending on where you live, there might be more diversity in the staff at your Hollister store. I've seen a couple asians.
