I haven't listened to them in a while. :\

But I have been listening to a lot of Stars. Thanks, William, for mentioning them earlier.

I know I already talked about Material Issue, but you guys should really try to get the "Valerie Loves Me" mp3. I really liked it.

xo, Pauline

Stars are okay
I'll check out that mp3

these arms are snakes, +/- (took me forever to find their mp3's due to the fact that you can't google or limewire them), and cut copy.

I know! I could find any +/- mp3s as well. I had to go to their website in desperation and alas they had mp3s.

^yeah! that's actually where i got mine too, but i couldn't even get to their site because i couldn't search "+/-" anywhere (google, amazon, etc.) so i didn't know what to do, and "plus slash minus" didn't return anything either. but i went to your audioscrobbler a couple days ago and you had them really far down on your artists list, and from there i got their album name and found out i just had to google "plus minus".

haha sweet. I hate that limewire doesnt allow slashes or anything, makes things so annoying >_>.
anyways, lately I've been getting in to The Mountain Goats. Weird folk sound to their stuff. And I've been obsessing over "Be Gentle with Me" by Boy least likely to.

Yeah. He did some vocals/back up vocals.

It's:

Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer - Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer
1. Moment
2. Plays Pretty for Baby
3. Ode to Madonna
4. Words for Now
5. Mean Old Coot
6. Mr. Song
7. Riding Trains in November
8. Simon
9. There's That One Person You'll Never Get Over No Matter How Long It's Been

These Arms Are Snakes are a good choice.
I'm going to be seeing them with Minus the Bear and Thunderbirds Are Now!

They're an amazing band live (actually, all three of them) so all should try to catch this tour.

ever since i saw the concert photos of thunderbirds are now! playing at intonation, i have decided they would be one of the most fun bands to see live. their dance moves seem really intense, and i'm reeeeally jealous of you now. hopefully i can hit one of my new friends with decent music taste (one of the sole bonuses of high school so far) to catch them when (or if?) they come to the bay area.

uh, i would reccommend bands right now, but i haven't downloaded or checked out any new music since +/-. lame.

edit: silversun pickups, the ditty bops, youth group, portastatic, tullycraft.

Yeah, I saw them back in 2003, when they were on tour with The Locust. Definitely an entertaining band, because they move around alot, and their keyboard/tamborine guy (can't ever remember his name) might as all have the worst case of ADD I've ever seen. haha.

But yeah, everyone seems it get into them, even if they've never heard them. That and they're pretty sweet guys too.

^haha. but it sounds like a great tour.

i downloaded a lot of twee pop today: all girl summer fun band, the boy least likely to, the diskettes, go sailor, hormones in abundance, math and physics club, the mean corner, and the owls.

also, does anyone have "falling out of love (with you)" by the 6ths? i really like the cover of it by tullycraft (and i think a synthpop band pauline mentioned covered it too), but i can't find the original anywhere. i'd be willing to send some stuff in return too (AIM: wtf its william).

feist is decent.

and i'd really like "set yourself on fire", because i have about half the songs but they're bad quality and yeah. i'll IM you sometime, and we can do a trade.

other bands: bearsuit, boy in static, the best friends group, dear nora, plastic mastery, pokett, portastatic, suburban kids with biblical names, silversun pickups, sun cancelled.

I was reading a review on Feist today, and it made me want to give them another listen, and I realized I liked them more than I thought. Also that I'd heard them on the radio before, which I hadn't noticed

yeah, i've only heard mushaboom. they (she?) kind of remind me of the ditty bops.

suburban kids with biblical names is pretty good, but i'm not really in love with them. there's just something about them that annoys me. they have mp3's here: http://www.loveisthedevil.com/SKWBN/

i really like clap your hands say yeah and mew.

Yeah, Feist is a she. Thanks for the link! SKWBN are...interesting. Sort of mellow. But OK, overall.
Clap your hands say yeah and good as well. "Details of War" is pretty good, as is "Lost and Found".
Andrew Bird, anyone?

I've been hearing a lot about clap your hands and say yeah lately, so i downloaded severa of their songs, and they're ok, but i wasn't really impressed.

william, that site's not in english, so i can't find any downloadable mp3s. i'd rather download than stream, because i don't listen to things until i put them on my ipod. their name amsues me, though. i want to like them just for that.
