The anime is alright if you watch it knowing it's going to be different. And I repeat, it's quite different.
The anime was made when the manga was only up to volume 20. Thus, they had to take the anime on a different track since no one knew how the manga was going to turn out. So, the characters are the same but the storyline is very different. Graphics are awesome though lol You should definately see it! Rin-chan |

If you read the manga first, you'd definately like the manga better. If you see the anime first, then you'd probably like the anime better lol
It is great quality art in the anime though, I have to hand it to them. It's hard to keep up with Akimine Kamijyo's awesomeness. It's completed with like, 26 episodes (?).
I bought the series off of eBay in May, didn't come until July lol I ordered it from Hong Kong or something... But, yeah, it is done. The dub is HORRIBLE! If you want to watch the anime, watch it in the original Japanese with subtitles. That way you won't have to listen to Benitora's obviously fake Southern accent which magically disappears when he's fighting. I know he has the Kansai-ben asccent, but really... Atleast get someone who actually uses the Southern accent... Or have him speak in slang, like Tasuki from Fushigi Yuugi. Oh, and Kyos' voice was so low in the dub that he sounded like he was 30 something and Kyoshiro's voice was only like, half a note higher. Yuya's was perfect but she couldn't act. Yukimura and Sasuke were great though, especially Sasuke. He sounded like the bad-ass little kid he is lol Oh, well... Rin-chan |

SDK color manga pics If you search for Kyo picturse on Google, you'll find that most pictures are from the anime. There are other characters named Kyo, so don't forget to include 'sdk' or 'samurai deeper kyo' in your search. You can also look up Samurai Deeper Kyo wallpapers on MiniTokyo.com. I absolutely love the manga It is oh so very awesome. I personally that it has one of the best storyline EvAH!!!
