Roman Catholic is a denomination. Being Christian is not a denomination, anyone who believes Jesus is Lord and died on the cross for our sins and has asked him into their hearts is a Christian.

Roman Catholic was the first of the Christian faiths...it is the original. All modern day Christian faiths are based off of the Roman catholic system.

There are quite a few differences, for instance Christians don't believe in Mary...ok wait let me rephrase that, they don't believe in worshipping Mary, like Catholics do. we have statues of Mary, because we believe that as Jesus' mother, she deserves recognition. Christians consider this idol worship and therefore do not have statues of her. Also Christians do not reference "God", they reference Jesus. they believe more that Jesus is the father, son and the holy spirit...as where catholics believe there is a Father, a son, and a holy spirit...all seperate entities.

I believe Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but that does not make me "christian"

I am a Christian and I do refer to God. Christians do not belive Jesus is the father son and holy spirit. Jesus is the Son of God which means he is the son in the trinity. God is the father, and the Holy Spirit says what it means. It is the the trinity, The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit they are all one but with different purposes. If you except Christ into your heart that does mean you are a Christian. Christiantiy then breaks up into different groups such as penetecostal, baptist, lutheran, and so on. That is seperated because of the different beliefs in how we should live our Christian life. You can research religion, but until you follow it and believe it you will never understand the full extent.

whats agnostic believe?

We believe in whatever we want happy.gif We can believe either God exists or He doesn't, the answer depends on which agnostic you speak to.

It's not a religion, so there isn't anything really to believe in, it's more of a concept/idea.
