i'm a freshman in high school and my cousin is a senior. i just met her at the beginning of summer, but we hung out almost everyday and we became so close, like sisters, and best friends. But then school started and things have been so hectic, with our own classes and friends and we've started to drift apart. We both know that and are trying to get close again but I need advice. How can we do it?

My friends and I have been drifting apart too. Well it's obviously very difficult so I really don't know what to say since it was a failure for me. Do the stuff you guys used to do before you were drifting apart. The thing that caused both of you to stay together in the first place.

hang out with her after school or invite her to your house, she's your cousin so there should be some family dinners

On weekends you guys can see each other, I mean your cousins. Watch a movie at her house, or bake some cookies at yours. I have a problem similar to yours but me and her find a way to work it out.

If you actually THINK about a SOLUTION it may dawn upon you.

Coordinate schedules yadda yadda yadda.

Come on, just THINK.

and Communicate.

Go out together. A day after school, on the weekends. Whenever you can. Call each other, email. I know what you mean though, but it happens.
