excorcist stuff, question Options

I'm ignorant?  Seriously, don't believe in every single thing people tell you.  Ooh, she got possessed, how cool, it must be true.  I suppose you believe in fairies as well.  I'm not saying the entire thing is fictious, I'm just saying that people can stretch the truth and not to get so worked up because of a scary trailer and the fact that it was "based on a true story."  Remember, it's a movie, and they're going to have to add some stuff to make sure we get our money's worth.
There's always a bit of truth behind everything.  The Catholic church can't confirm that exorcism and demons exist.  It's even mentioned in the Emily Rose story there are two sides - the scientific side and the religious side.

still, what the hell are you talking about? you act like this movie just spurred a sudden acknowledgment at the fact of possession. no, the only reason i even mentioned the movie was to give the sense that I wasnt just randomly making a topic like this. "possession, how cool" wtf? that is like the least thing cool to me. fairies and excorism wow what a connection you made. im not an uber religious person either. alot of stuff doesnt make sense in the bible, but there is also proof of excorisms and i follow whatever proof can give me, whether it be science or religion. the excorcism of emily rose isnt the only case of possession. ive learned alot about excorism before emily rose was even a twinkle in the directors eye. you dont know how much people know about the subject at hand. but im still unclear on how possession can happen to a person, there is alot of different views. i dont expect some end all answer on here. i just thought it would be an interesting discussion. sure i can go on google or something, which i have. but i just wanted to know what other individuals thought. its okay u think its bullshit. but dont say the only reason we think it may be true is because of movies and media.

There are also many cases of people meeting with fairies, but it doesn't mean fairies exist. Just because there have been cases of exorcism doesn't mean people are being possessed by the Devil.

By the way, religion revolves around faith. You can't take any facts to prove the existence or nonexistence of God. It's a matter of what you believe.

Sure there are cases of people being possessed, but there are many other things that may have happened instead of possession. Mental instability or drug overdose, for example.

Maybe there is a possibility of a spirit being able to speak through you, but the idea of Satan coming to take hold of your body is ridiculous.

no kidding! who said anything about the proof of god? i said there is proof of possesion. if u notice, i havent said anything about the "devil" or "demons" so i dont know what they are being posessed by. hell maybe a evil fairy took over the body

there was known to be some very minor physical changes during being possessed.
none of which can happen because of mental instability or drug overdose. emily rose had epilepsy(sp?) but i dont see how that can lead to the behavior of a possessed woman. only seizures.
