Breakfast club, Sixteen candles, St. Elmo's Fire, The Goonies (I love love love Data (the asian kid!!!), Dirty Dancing, and much more.  I love the 80's
*

St. Elmo's Fire was all that and a bag of skittles. Especially that Rob Lowe...[we happen to share a birthday..]

Ghostbusters 1 & 2...I pretty much grew up watching those.

oh..and Coming to America was pretty good..but not as good as Boomerang..but that's the 90's.. wink.gif [I won't even go there.]

That's all I can remember for now.

Star Wars is from 1977, actually. wink.gif

But those are all great. I'd have to agree with the top four (if you include The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi under the Star Wars heading), at least. And The Breakfast Club. Those five were awesome movies.

Star Wars "Return of the Jedi" was in '83
Star Wars "The Empire Strikes Back" in '80

Riiiggghhttt... But as I noted, the first one, traditionally known as Star Wars, was in 1977.

Hands down, "Better Off Dead"...that's the end all, be all of 80's flicks for me...it's probably one of my all time favorite movies...darkly comedic, it's a movie for all of us outcasts, the ones who actually knew/know people like Ricky and who have spent more time drawing cartoons and fantazing than studying for their math test.
