i downloaded alot of brushes, but i can't use them cus of two reasons
1. everytime i click on the color, it comes out as a pattern. how can i make the patterns go away? do i like, check something off?
2. when i "clone stamp tool" and try to play around brushes a pop up comes up saying "could not use the clone stamp because the area to clone has not been defined. (alt + click to define a source point).
whenever i press alt and click, this arrow like.. crosshair comes up and it doesn`t do anything.
help? :(

Ok for the pattern thing: Look up at the top of the screen, there will be a drop down menu where it says foreground or pattern. Choose foreground for color.

Now for the clone stamp. You alt + click and you drag the mouse... and then once you have the area cloned then you just do a normal click drag.


did that make any sense?

i did it, and it kinda worked, thanks.

but i have another question;
it`s in RGB && i selected orange for the color and splatter as the brush,
except, the brush IS splatter, but the color is grey.
it`s not even in grayscale though.

take a picture of your settings and double check it might be in index mode.
it could be in index if its not in grayscale.

are you sure your using, the brush tool? and, uploading them to the brush tool?

thats not the brush tool, thats the stamp tool, to use brushes you use the brush tool .
